If Pacquiao beats Diaz and they both put in an A- performance, Pac is p4p No. 1...

If it was Juan Diaz then yes you would be right but its David Diaz. The fighter that should have lost to Erik Morales. A shot Erik Morales.

I agree but this goes for everyone, I mean how does Calzaghe get P4P top 3 by beating an over the hill Hopkins who imo he should beat if he is a top P4P fighter. Hopkins although elite level only fought once a year since Taylor fights and beat a drained Tarver, blown up Winky Wright and was really a blown up middleweight himself to start with. And anyone who has Calzaghe as P4P no1 must be a fan. For me he would have to beat Dawson, Tarver, Johnson to even be Top at Light Heavyweight, forget Erdei though as he is the worst LHW Champ imo.

I'd like to see Pac in with a pressure fighter that he can't hurt, that keeps coming forward. When he's backed up, he's rendered useless.

JMM can deal with a wider area of styles. There is no way to call Pac better, only in resume, but not as a fighter.

pbf has no intentions of getting "L" thus HE NEVER uttered a word about COTTO and MARAGARITO. Instead he is interested to fight
a much hyped ODLH who is just a fraction of his old self and will retire
    anytime now...

ODLH age for boxing is generally old. He's ready to retire SOON. Yup! thats the guy that PBF wants to fight! A senior citizen in the world of boxing!

JMM has the stylistic advantage over Pac and Pac eeked out a win. Put Pac against someone he has an stylistic advantage against and watch him destroy them, guys like David & Juan Diaz would be food for Pac. To put things into perspective, JMM to alot of people scored a very close fight with MAB, Pac scored almost a whitewash unless you were generous and had MAB chose to engage as he did JMM, most likely he would have been TKO'd.

"I'd like to see Pac in with a pressure fighter that he can't hurt, that keeps coming forward."

There is no fighter out there at the moment from 135 or below whos there to be hit and Pac cannot hurt.

. . . if this fight is gonna be any factor in Pac's P4P ratings . . . it is because he could win his fourth divisional title . . . not because of anything else.

That in a nutshell is why if Manny puts in a BS camp (unlikely, but the "basketball" crap wasn't encouraging), or if he doesn't have the ability to sting Diaz with the weight change, I can see Diaz making this a much closer fight than expected. JMM, Morales, and Barerra all wanted at least some distance to throw their own punches. Diaz is going to be smothering him, which could negate the straight left entirely.

Manny would have to KO Diaz in under five for there to be any remotely sane argument that this fight warrants a shift in the P4P list. If he stays at 135 and beats the winner of Casamayor - Campbell or Casamayor - Diaz, we can start considering the argument.

Bull****, Juan Diaz is horrible for him, Pac's not a combination puncher and Diaz will smother him and keep him on the backfoot, where Pac is not effective.

Not a combination puncher? Every punch Pac ever throws is a combination. Watch Morales in the 6th round try to pull a juan diaz, crouching down, Pac lands about 6 punches to his head and backs him up finishing with straight left.

That's Pac in a swarm, he rushes guys with a flurry of punches, what I meant was that he's not a natural precise combination puncher, like Campbell, which owned over Diaz on the inside.

Pac would want to pick his shots against Diaz, he can't push him back, that won't work and he'll have to deal with Diaz's strength and offensive arsenal after.

JMM is more or less a precision combination puncher that picks his shots with them, not just rushing the opponent.

No, because Diaz is just another contender @ 135, regardless of his belt.

Im sure Pac would call them combinations. A combination is a method of combining punches together in a smooth manner, meaning if you throw a left jab, the next logical punch would either be straight right, or right hook. That is exactly what Pac does.
