Odlh win is extremely underrated because people are short sighted. Who else has gone up from LW, FW within a year to WW to beat a guy like Oscar? Who 10 months prior took floyd to an SD and just a few fights before that beat Forbes handily at 151? The excuse was that Pac was lucky, it was fluke, he would lose to any top 10 WW. Well he destroyed other WWs all the same and they were much more prepared tactically for Pac than ODLH ever was. My point is, by beating the other WWs just as bad, it proved it wasn’t a fluke, that Oscar didn’t have to be that shot for Pac to beat him, because he beat non-shot WWs all the same. Past his prime yes but he was also past it vs Floyd. Claiming he was shot just because Pac beat him easy is silly as there’s no proof of that, only proof that Pac was that good. Again, SD vs Floyd 10 months prior.
Pac has the tools and wisdom to beat Thurman. Pac is no fool, there is a reason he chose to fight him. There won't be any wrestling or holding or head butting. No tactics that would wear him down. Thurman don't fight like that so Manny has a good shot at winning this fight and even by knockout, but so does Thurman.
I agreed 100%. Thurman has one mediocre fight (tune up that is) and he's all of a sudden shot, over the hill, and ripe for the cherry pickers. What a bunch of haters. When did one fight where someone wins a wide decision become shot overnight? Aren't you all the same haters talking about styles makes the fight? What a bunch of cry baby haters.... I guarantee you that these same haters would be saying that Pac is ducking Thurman if Pac picked anyone else. Stfu and enjoy the ride before its over.
I have no problem with the decision aslong as it matches what happens in the fight. I have a feeling thurman is gonna run and survive and they might give it to him. That’d be a major black eye if so.
I take pac 100% Always thought Thurman was overrated. I predicted Thurman would never fight Spence or Crawford. He never will.
I too just have a hunch that Pac knows how to old man him and may make this difficult for One Time. Is Thurman now better than Bradley was and how much has Pac slipped since then? This could end up like Degale V Eubank...depends how fragile Thurman is and if Manny gets old overnight.
If pac wins it will be an amazing victory that solidifies him as an amazing p4p ATG, if floyd was to come out of retirement and do the same thing it would be case of floyd cherry picking thurman coming off a long lay off and injuries with just one terrible come back fight and prime thurman would have ko'd him or thurman was just overrated etc.
It would be not a great, but a very good victory even in his prime, but in this stage of his career it would be a truly great victory
It will be one of the greatest modern day victories and I'm not even a Manny Pacquiao fan, so no bias here.
Yep, never thought much of Thurman but this scenario is very possible. Could be another Jeff Horn situation.
He's not beating Thurman it's wishful thinking. BTW he's not a top 12-18 ATG right now that's ridiculous.
Pacquaio is a genetic beast. The fact that he still has fast hands, legs and incredible twitch muscles at this age is a testament to his genetics.
Dude, you were literally saying that Pac cherrypicked Thurman based off of the Lopez fight. You got more hate in your heart than Ramsey Bolton.
