people say that pac is still 1-D... if this is true, then hatton is certainly 1/2-D . hatton has even more limited boxing skills than pac.

I dont see how thats comparable. Hopkins is a former p4p #1, Hatton has always been on the edge of top 10. Hopkins physically is also alot bigger than ODLH, whereas Manny's frame is infact bigger than Hatton.

Ok manny his a good fighter yes but 140 will be a different kettle of fish for him. hatton is a beast like beeston brawler as stated. Has for floyd being a SfW and knocking hatton out, he rocked Oscar at 154. Thats more the talent of floyd than a weakness of hatton. JMM hurt pac so I am sure hatton can. Anyway hatton as to beat dreadlock mallinaggi and pac as to beat diaz.

That is why Hatton is so much stronger than his opponents at 140, because he has a solid base, whilst many others are too top heavy - lacking balance and always likely to pay the canvas a visit.

pac's legs are like tree trunks too for a man his size. just look at his legs compared to barrera, morales, jmm, guzman and other fighters @ 135 and below. pac may have even bigger legs than many 140-lbers.

that's where pac's vaunted punching power comes from too and his large arms and fists also help amplify his power more. even with his off-balanced, lunging style, pac still stays on his feet even when hit by very strong counter punches when off-balanced. that's a testament to his very strong legs. diff is that even with his strong legs, he still has very fast footspeed.

hatton seems to have a smaller upper body than pac though especially in the arms, hands and neck so that will help when hatton tries to wrestle w/ him. i think a bigger neck also helps a fighter absorb head punches better.

 

nah. hatton doesn't do well going up or down in weight. he's just stuck as a career 140-lb fighter. pac definitely has a better chance of beating hatton @135 or even at a catchweight of 137-138.

I think Hatton could have achieved great success as a lightweight earlier in his career before moving up - shame he shares diet plans with those off the obesity programmes.......

Especially bearing in mind the fact that during most of his WBU 'reign' 135 was weaker than 140 - IMO!

Moving up in weight isn't a matter of how good you are IMO, it depends on your natural build and the age that you 'fill out' - British kids tend to fill out much earlier, around the age of 16, whilst those from the far east tend to do so a lot later, in their early 20's (a few from that region live near me!)

 

I use to think that Hatton was the bigger man and beacuse of this would maul Pac but while looking at a tale of the tape if the figures I saw are correct I came away with two sifgnificant measurements PAC: 16 inch neck and 8 inch wrist these are the measurements of a large framed person while Hatton respectively is 15 and 7 Medium Frame measurements. If this is true I say Pac is structurally the bigger man and will batter Hatton.
