He should be taken out of pound for pound lists, the same people who are saying how weak he is have him as number 6 pound for pound.
More entertaining but Guerrero is a better fighter than alvarado and floyd is a better fighter than pac so it's not really a better fight.
I'm fine with this fight. I'm actually glad he is facing Alvarado next and not Marquez. With that said, he's not in my p4p list anyways. He just got KTFO and lost his last 2/3 fights
Not sure losing to Marquez gets him all the way out of the top 10, he's not high up there anymore obviously. The Bradley fight was a solid (consensus) win prior to the loss. The Alvarado fight is a necessary tune-up. I don't think taking a fight by itself should merit a movement up or down in ranking.
I don't see the issue with it really. Pac is coming off a huge knockout loss, and typically when somebody goes out like he does... They'd be fighting Paulie. Alvarado can bang, and can box decently. Rios would honestly be an easier fight for Pac (although bigger puncher) because Pac will make him look silly in there, and if Rios isn't on the inside, he got no game. So Alvarado is a stronger opponent than Rios IMO. I don't think Alvarado beats Pac, or should be in Pac's league but honestly who is there at 140 or 147 that is (that isn't tied up in a fight already)? A Bradley rematch that probably won't happen, a Marquez rematch that probably won't happy, a Mayweather match that won't happen. Maybe if Broner beats up on Paulie, Pac can stop the Broner hype train, but probably won't happen either. Everybody else is to green, Pac picking on a LWW, or to slow.
that's why i'd rather see Rios.. sure, it's a mismatch either way, but he'd liven that ***** up! him and Roach got bad blood too.
Yeah.. cuz lord knows nobody ever made Ricky Hatton, JMM, Victor Ortiz (one fight at 147 with Berto and prior a loss to Maidana, draw with Peterson at 140), or Guerrero (147 against Berto again, tough win over 147 Aydin, and before that was 135 pounds)..... Can't remember who got those guys to move up? Also, they can weigh whatever at the weighin, Victor can weigh 170 pounds in the ring on fight night, but doesn't change the fact that he was a career LWW, Hatton same, JMM 135 pounder, etc.
