If Pacquiao Fights Mosley it should be at 147lbs, Screw this catchweight Sh*t

amen to this....yes Oscar is at 154 and Manny was at 135 so 147 is the best compromise in that situation. so Mosley 147 and Manny 140 is 144 or 143 is the best in that situation...

I think its fairly obvious its all about compromise. DLH previously fought at 150, Pac was coming from 135...meeting at 147 was fair plus DLH couldnt make any lower. Pac wants to stay at 140, Mosley is fighting at 147...Pac is not asking Mosely to come down to 140, and Pac is not coming up to 147...so whats fair? Somewhere in the middle.

 

Manny did fight at oscar at 147 but what did he weigh for that fight at the scales. 142 not 147, which means hes closer to 140 than 147. If they did fight at 147 mosley would probably have a 10-15 lb weight advantage. Remember this isnt oscar fighting pbf or pbf fighting Baldo. Mosley is a brutally strong aggressive fighter with speed and power and a chin.

The catchweight in any case is to accomodate mosley otherwise he would probably never fight pacquiao. Would 2-3 lbs really make that much of a difference to someone like mosley who is an elite fighter?

 

i truley believe if mosley came in below 147 he would be weight drained....he could MAYBE make 145
