And fight for the Lineal Lightweight Championship that is missing from his collection. Win-win for everyone.

140 is the right weight for this fight.

Marquez was 145 on fight night against Katsidis.

Pacquiao was 148 on fight night against Mosley and Margarito

I'd love that but then jmm would get next to no credit. It should have been at 140 but props to marquez for making the jump again!

Bit harsh that. Tell ya what, if he did that and knocked out ortiz inbetween i'd probably call him one of the goats.

Exactly, he's not far from Marquez so he might very well make 135 like Marquez. So why not do it for a legit belt?

also marquez is gunning for a legit belt at welter thus being the first mexican to win 4 titles in different division not counting arce's interim.

Although if they're the same size why doesn't Marquez fight Cotto, Margarito, Mosley or Dela Hoya, or even Martinez at 154 (People want Pac-Martinez at 154).

Money! It's all about the MONEY. The bigger money fights have been at the higher weights.
