I wish Pacquiao could be the President of the Philippines.

Well when moving up 10 weight divisions, it's hard to establish yourself as the best in every division, not just because it's actually hard (size disadvantage) but the politics of boxing makes it very hard to establish yourself as the best in the division. I mean you have guys who stays in one division all their lives, Joshua, Fury - been at the HW division for their whole career and neither of them has established themselves as the best of their division yet, try doing that through 10 divisions.

Pac was easily the best 122 at the time, probably the best 126, 130, probably the best 135 (I think only Guzman could contest him there) and best 140 and easily the best 147 whilst Floyd was retired. In addition to that, the closest thing to being the best in the division is the lineal belt, the man who beat the man, Pac got 4-5 of those I believe.

Frazier was a paper champ when Ali beat him, literally only champion because Ali couldn't fight. He beat Buster Mathis for the vacant title and defended it 6 times? MAB for example had a far better resume than Frazier at the point Pac fought him, and the point Ali fought him. Similarly with Foreman, Fury's win over Wilder would be similar to Foreman's win over Frazier. It's not until much later that we establish these guys as legends, but its all perspective. I mean how do you genuinely say Frazier was better than Wilder for example?

I think by virtue of nobody achieving close to what Pac has achieved in modern boxing history, that automatically makes him a contender for the GOAT. That's pretty much how it is defined, reaching for greatness and hitting it.

Brother, I may disagree with you, but I appreciate your blind devotion to Floyd.

I used to get laughed by everybody when I said "top 25" back in 2011/2-ish. He didn't age as perfectly after that as I'm sure he would've liked but still rolled out wins over former titlists and picked up the big ones over Thurman and Bradley. I'd still say top 25.

You really don’t need to sell to me The virtues of Pacquiao as a fighter as I could wax lyrical about it. He is an ATG he is just not the GOAT. He never actually mastered Marquez. As for heavyweights there size determined they are stuck in one division. Frazier is so much more better than Wilder it’s like night and day. If we are having a genuine debate about greatness and GOAT candidates please don’t let’s demean and debase the discussion referring to Wilder in any context. Dangerosity you are better than that sir!

Pakkuman like I have said publicly you are a very good man and principled. You love Pacquiao and honestly I cannot fault you for that there is a lot to admire in him. I am not blind to boxers but say what my eyes tell me. Many hate Floyd which is what his business model was partly based on as they paid to watch him lose. As Floyd said he appreciates his fans and his haters as they all paid and made him relevant.

I figured if he was born in the red white and blue he’d be candidate for number 1.

    20-25.

Although if 15-20 was an option I would've selected that

Pacquiao is unique. Nobody in this world can do what he has done in boxing.

I voted top 10-15. There are so many fighters from the past with cemented and romanticized legacies before him that who am I to change their positions? It's really hard to say when you're not a boxing historian but I feel he belongs somewhere in there.
