In the end...it doesn't really matter, does it. The winner, if they both perform extremely well will be the best or second best or third best...who cares? One of the very best!

What we should care about is that the fight lives up to our expectations.

And to the people who say: "no way could Mayweather be dethroned...", I say: wouldn't you rather he fought Cotto too? Shouldn't one of the best fighters in the world, whether first or second or third fight his main rival in the division and fellow p4p Top 10 fighter?

Please don't try to demean the importance of Pacquiao v. Marquez or their skills or p4p ranking just to give your boy an excuse for not fighting the fight all fans of boxing want to see!

Personally, I have assumed JMM will beat Pacquiao until the day Pacquiao stepped up to the plate to sign on the dotted line. Now, I look at things objectively and am proud of both and support both. Similarly, I will assume Cotto beats Mayweather until the day, if it ever comes, when Mayweather and Cotto step up to the plate and signs to make the fight. No full respect for Mayweather or Cotto as long as they fight (relative) rubbish like DLH and Gomez and Mayorga - none of whom are even p4p Top 30, DLH actually being a LMW, whom Mayweather beat before!:-( :-( :-(

I am Oriental and I still don't think Manny has any business being number 1 p4p above Floyd. Floyd fought all sizes and 5 division WBC champion. The level in Talent is so apparant. Floyd hardly ever got hit, and consistently punishes his opponent. All Manny's biggest wins are all against shop worn prostitutes. Erik came down from 190lbs to fight at a 130lb fight. Get real. Manny is good but he is not that good. Same goes to Marquez.

 

I seriously can't stand the p4p rankings list becaue an arguement can be made for nearly half the list as to who is truly number one. Its obvious we all have our own qualifying criteria though I for one feel p4p rankings should combine an even mixture of activity, quality of opposition, dominance in ones division, tenure at a particular level in the rankings....I these things come into play while talent plays a role it should be one of the last categories. I could have ***** that glows rainbow bright in the dark but unless I stick it in a hot chick and make her stomach look like a christmas candy cane I have no grounds to prove I'm a great lover. :smoke
