    Would the results be different?

I remember that Pacquiao and his team declined to fight Morales at lightweight ...

I don't think that Morales was doing himself any good fighting at 130 - especially coming down from that Zahir Raheem loss ... he shouldve stayed and tried to get a title.

    What do you guys think?

Erik Morales would have been knocked out earlier if the fight had taken place at 135lb. He may have almost won that elusive 4th divisional title when he came up against Diaz, but Morales was never a good Lightweight. If he couldn't beat Pacquiao at 130, he wouldn't have been able to do it no matter what the weight class. It was father time that hindered Erik.

Same result. Pac by stoppage both times. His physical side and his skills were accelerating.

The fact that Pacquiao's camp declined and then you see them move up to fight Diaz after shows that they knew Morales would be better at 135 vs manny than at 130. But in the end Pacquiao would still win. I think it would have just been more competitive but same result. Freddie Roach is a very smart trainer and he surely knew that Morales was having a hard time making 130.

Why do you say that? Morales struggled to make 130.

Morales took too much damage in the first fight. The weight would not have made a difference in the second 2

I think the weight wouldve made a difference ... hell he looked like a skeleton in the second fight and he was having difficulty making 130.

Its weird that people don't think the loss of weight makes a difference -

same result. morales didnt perform well in his 2 outings at 135. he struggled with diaz (though i think he won that fight), and pac had an easy fight with him (diaz).
