will it still be the same? after the hatton fight it was supposed to be two fighters at their absolute best going toe-toe with no excuses.if it does happen next year will it still be that? i mean mayweather will be 34 by then and with fighters like him who depend greatly on speed and reflexes (rjj, ali) that could be the age when they wake up and suddenly they just don't have it anymore.also pacquiao is 32 in less than a month and his body must surely be slowing down considering the punishment it has taken and the weight it has gained and lost in such a short period.not to mention his fans now have the whole politics excuse while mayweather's have the drugs excuse.excuses are something that wasn't supposed exsist for this fight.

just thought i'd give ESB someting new and original to talk about:yep:yep

no but seriously don't make it a hate thread

    feel free to disagree

I'm pretty sure the fight will happen sept or nov 2011 IF Mayweather Jr and Roger aren't found guilty.

Fight won't happen until Mayweather knows that Pacquaio is slow and old.:D

There shouldn't be any excuses, but you know it will be by the losing fighters fanbase.

emmanuel is ****ed the moment they fight. His fans believe he's weakened by blood tests, but they want to ignore how his performance will fail after drawing blood.

It's too late, it's been a year and a half, I'll still hold it against Floyd even if it does happen next year. His name is "Money" isn't it? He should have taken it right away then there could have been a rematch or even a trilogy and they would be the richest boxers in the history of the world.

Perfect time would have been Nov 13th. 2010
Manny will never be as good as that night, IMO.

If it happens this year, they should still be at least somewhere near there best. Floyd will show more ring rust though, and age may play a factor, which is another reason why Manny will beat him.

Rematches and trilogies are for competitive fights. Not one sided shut outs. Which is exactly what this fight will be. Once it's over there won't be any public demand for a rematch.

With Mayweather, he relies on technique more than RJJ & Ali did so aging should suit him fine it's just his inactivity(one fight a year?????) and personal demons that I worry about. I think the fight will happen about five years later than when it was first expected to happen and someone wins a close decision. It will be debated for years and the fighter who loses will feel bitter about it for years. Deja-vu anyone? lol
