If Pacquiao's head doesn't snap back when punched by JMM...

I saw the last fight again.
Everytime JMM lands a punch at Pac, Pac's head snaps back.
When Pac lands a punch at JMM, JMM's head is steady.

That's why audience/spectators thought JMM won the fight.
If JMM's head snaps back everytime Pac lands a punch, you could have seen it a lot of times than Pac's head snapping back.

I had Pac winning that fight. Pac should have gone for the knockout though. Wonder how Marquez added all that weight?

    it's just styles

pacquiao tries to move his head, leans back alot with his head too, marquez just ducks in towards the punches or moves away using his legs always keeping a tense neck, also you wont see anything on from hair so it's a big contrast

people thought roberto duran was eating bomb after bomb on the inside but it was mainly his hair all over the place as he rolled punches lol

JMM was moving away from Pac's punches - which were overreaching most of the time and not connecting at the correct proximity. That's why JMM done so well. He stripped away Pac's ability to land the way he likes to. He was forced to settle for punches that, at best, were landing at the tip of his reach. They were grazing shots that aren't easy to spot on TV unless you slow things down. That's probably why the compubox stats were in Pac's favour. The better, more noticeable shots were coming from JMM, whilst the grazing, unclean punches in higher numbers were Pac's.

Also, it's important to note JMM's head rarely ever snaps back from punches. He has a pretty stiff neck. Whilst Pac, with his floppy hair, can be spotted a mile away when he's hit. ****, even the ones he blocks with his glove make it look like he's been smacked by a hayemaker.

  6. It honestly doesn't mean much. Marquez is always cautious and if you take a look at his face he's got this "prepared for a big shot" kind of expression through the whole fight. He keeps his head firm. Pacquiao is a wild boy and fights the entire fight without any regard for anything, he is willing to get hit in order to hit. Marquez ain't trying to do that at all.

no sweat, jmm is naturally bigger than pac slightly taller and wide bodied as well. watch all their fights and see that jmm is always bigger.

if pac's head snaps back, then the impact of the punch is lessened. remember hatton;s head was steady and absorbed the full impact of the left hook. montiel also hit donaire but his head rolled in the direction of the punch hence only grazed donaire. donaires counter was right on the money.

That's usually a decent indicator for how effective a punch is.

This clown is trying to indicate that if your head snaps back violently, the impact is lessened.:nut

If you take a look at the fight, you can see Marquez either parrying off Pacquiao's shots and or riding with the momentum of the shots and taking the sting off of them

Marquez always finds a way to make Pacqiuao reach and be forced into an uncompromising position, boom Marquez shoots the straight right, smack there goes Pacquiao's head snapping back violently.

For those of you that are clueless, its called effective connects! :deal

Nice observation. I notice that too when Pac lands, it's on the tip of his reach.

  15. I had that sense going into the Bradley fight too... that just wasn't the case. I think Manny is actually getting up for this fight.
