Would Povetkin land that left took to AJ's fragile mandible and become the heavyweight champion of the world?

Alexander Povetkin would back down out of sheer fear for the superhuman mutant in Anthony Joshua. Anthony Joshua is a totally different creature / beast / animal altogether that Povetkin has never seen or experienced before and would therefore, want no part of him. Povetkin should stay away from the monstrous AJ at all costs! It'd be cruel to put in a mere mortal like Povetkin, in with a superhuman mutant like Anthony Joshua. It'd be a disgusting / gruesome mismatch. Sort of like putting in a human inside a Colosseum against a lion / tiger without any weapons.

I think Povetkin struggles to deal with opponents with height and reach advantage who have a good jab.

Joshua would have an easier time against an aging Povetkin and don't think Povektin would walk through Joshua's punches like Parker will on Saturday to get on the inside and do serious damage.

I think current (past it) Povetkin is on equal footing with Parker, so about the same.

I think Povetkin gets knocked out in the first round by David Price! For the exact reasons you've just mentioned.

You're correct! Which is why Anthony Joshua should have no problem in knocking out Alexander Povetkin UNCONSCIOUS in the first round. And I don't just mean any kind of knockout, but a knockout where Povetkin is unconscious in no less than 1 round. Since as you stated, 'Povetkin has looked rubbish'.

So Joshua shouldn't go more than even a single round against a 'rubbish' boxer like Povetkin. If he does, then he must be a horrible boxer too, right? And if he has any trouble / difficulty or even gets hurt or partly damaged by Povetkin, then that should also mean that Joshua is a horrible boxer too, am I correct?

If Povetkin is as bad as you claim and if Joshua is as good as you claim, Joshua should deserve 0 credit for beating Povetkin and he should do it easily with 0 trouble. And that's what I'm expecting!

Povetkin would be custom made for AJ he would walk straight onto shots from him and be outta there in under 3/4 rounds IMO

I think that's an understatement and you're giving too much credit. Povetkin shouldn't even survive 30 seconds against Joshua and should be knocked out unconscious.

I think the first flurry from Joshua should not only knock Povetkin out, but knock him out unconscious for about 5 minutes inside the first minute of the first round.

I think David Price also flattens Povetkin inside the first 2 rounds. They should receive 0 credit for beating a blown up cruiser weight like Povetkin.

I think Povetkin is either the best or second best heavyweight in the world right now. He's gotten old and is a little past prime but he was probably the natural heir apparent to Wladimir if either Wlad hadn't hung around so long or perhaps he could have even beaten Wlad in a clinchless fight. Anyway, he's got the best resume of any active heavyweight at the moment, and has been knocking everyone silly for years. It's a toss up really between Povetkin and AJ but every year the odds tilt increasingly in AJ's favor. In that respect it's kind of like Golovkin and Canelo with Canelo playing the waiting game; so he can bash Golovkin into retirement.

Fair enough! And if Joshua fails to do that, and has any difficulty in not just beating Povetkin, but knocking Povetkin out unconscious (and I don't just mean a standing TKO stoppage), and takes any significant damage from Povetkin. Are you willing to concede that Joshua is overrated, horrible and not that good of a boxer considering Povetkin is meant to be another horrible boxer as well?

And are you willing and ready to not give any credit to Joshua for beating Povetkin, since Povetkin isn't good enough of a boxer to be credited a victory over?
