Another good thing about this is these top guys are all flawed, very good but with their own flaws and the next generation of big hitting young hungry heavies are only 6 or 7 fights away from breaking into contention and they are fighting 3 or 4 a year and weve got the big skilfull cruisers that can step up in weight at any moment.

As long as the best continue to want to fight the best and the promoters dont block these fights for fear of a loss of a zero or a belt and future lower income then this division will be fine, lack of skill and talent is really damaging to the popularity of a division but lack of competition is a killer of it.

You aren't giving Ruiz and H. Fury enough credit. Ruiz has a chin, good boxing skills, and quick hands. If Ruiz were more active he'd easily be ranked in the top 10. Also, Hughie Fury is tall, has good boxing skills, and has lots of mobility. Hughie could make even Wilder and Joshua look bad if he got on his bicycle and ran like he did against Parker.

Ruiz and H. Fury are much more talented than guys like Breazeale, Takam, Kownacki, or Whyte.

AJ is not perfect but he's definitely elite.

My opinions about Wilder have evovled.
Started with scepticism. He was floored hard by Sconiers, KOd by a LHW in the AMs, with multiple scares as well. His lack of balance caused him to drop after Nichols touched him with a jab.
He was fighting low level journeyman seemingly every other week and I thought maybe he's another can crusher.
    Then he ICED Liakovich.
If ppl didn't take notice after that....they're just haters.
Then he choked a hooker for trying to get paid for services rendered by taking his watch.
Hush money was paid, charges downgraded NDAs signed.

    Hated him after that.

But his love for his daughter, his absolutely PERFECT performance v B Verno and I let the hate go.

But his continued swerves of Povetkin got me heated again. It was a 50/50 fight, and I liked Wilder by KO.
MELDONIUM is aspirin that adds a lubricant to the red blood cells. Hardly a PED.
    Casera....
Solid defenses vs Duhaupas and Washington warmed me back up to him.

But.... even though Ortiz was in full testosterone detox....he pushed Wilder and tested him like no other.
It was his Wlad/Joshua .....Holyfield/Bowe ... Lewis/Vitali ....Ali/ Frazier moment and he came out a CHAMPION.

    I am now a FAN.

Win or lose....so long as he behaves outside the ring, he's got a fan here.

    As for AJ.
Similar scepticism. But he's on a faster train.

No fighter is unbeatable. But the 3 elite HWs may take a L but like Tyson, Lewis, Wlad, Holy, Foreman.....they will be at or near the top for the rest of their careers and one or all 3 may well push Vitali Wlad Tyson and Holy down the ATG list.
    Lewis
    Ali
    Foreman
    Louis
    Wlad

I'm hoping for a FOTY contender that could have gone either and demands a rematch. Leaving Wilder out in the cold for a little bit watching them earn the big bucks would both be funny and serve him right for taking the path of least resistance until very recently.

Then when he does get it on with Joshua it'll be all the morw funny when he gets lit up like a Christmas tree.

Don't let judges decide a winner for you.

    Helenius W Chisora
    Ward W Kovalev
    Etc etc etc

    Ruiz won 3 rds clean.
    Parker won 7

    That's what I consider a solid W.

And you are basing this on what? Your opinion? Wlad had several early career losses before his dominant run. So far AJ, Parker and Wilder are all undefeated. Who knows if any of them are able to keep winning. Only time will tell.

But at this point it would only be an opinion. The odds are more likely than not that one of AJ or Wilder and to a lesser extent Parker can go undefeated for a long, long time. Who else is out there that can beat them? Say what you want about Wilder for instance and most people have yet he would go into any boxing match against anyone except AJ as the favorite. Betting sites have AJ as a small favorite against him. AJ will go into every boxing match as the favorite until the day he suffer his first loss.

Now this obviously doesn't mean that AJ, Wilder and to a lesser extent Parker can't lose but it does show that ruling them out from a dominant reign is more opinion based than fact based. All three have flaws and looked vulnerable at times. So what they still managed to win. Looking vulnerable and losing are two entirely different things.

Just looking at their vulnerabilities and flaws in isolation is pointless. You have to look at the vulnerabilities and flaws in relation to everybody else vulnerabilities and flaws. Bottom line is nobody knows the future so trying to act like you do is foolish.

Ruiz Jr power is NOTHING COMPARED to AJ or Wilder, but his footwork and deceptive handspeed, along with fluid 3-4 punch combinations are more than enough to get the KO vs other contenders.
He's just not a top 5 yet and his lack of one punch power may be detrimental to getting there. But his youth and skill set, combined with iron chin will see him in or around the top 10 for another 5 yrs.

Joey fought an incredibly diverse set of styles all within the last 5 fights. This coming from a kid still.

    Let's enjoy the ride.

    All aboard

If Parker wins i will laugh at both AJ and Wilder. He will have ruined their huge money match.

Plus Parker will be in the power position over Wilder until they fight.

Thats what Wilder gets for taking so long to step up. He was good enough to step up years ago but wasnt ready to for whatever reasons. He will get his chance, it will just take awhile because he took so long himself to step up.

I think a Parker win could be good for the division. It would mean people would be unsure about who beats who among the top guys in the division. That creates excitement.
