    I understand why the post would bother a Pascal fan, but the reality is he's right. I mean lets be real he was fortunate to win the Dawson fight, if they fought again many believe Dawson walks him, and I & apparantly others thinks Hopkins beats him. There's a reason Hopkins immediately jumped on this fight...he thinks dude is weak too. Not tryin to be a dick, just being honest. Hes just not very good straight up (relatively speaking)its a race to see who gets to him first.

    I'm not sure how much Hopkins has left, and after the Jones fight I'm afraid not much.

    Even still, if Hopkins is anywhere close to the form when he fought Pavlik he can outpoint Pascal.

    Pascal fights in spurts, he darts in and out, he gets tired.

    This can all play into Hopkins' advantage big time.

    Keys for Hopkins are:

    * jab when at range
    * time Pascal coming in
    * rough Pascal up in a clinch and maul him when he comes inside

    I'm not sure if Hopkins has enough left to execute, but he certainly has the smarts to give Pascal fights.

    I think this is a very winnable fight for B-Hops.

    hopkins has been impressive, to say the least, because of his longevity.
    he's a testament to discipline and hard work.

    and even though it will be a feather in pascal's cap if he wins, it won't be worthy of a P4P ranking IMO

    Bingo.

    Styles make fights and Hopkins v RJJ was always going to look horrific.

    If Hopkins is in the top 10 p4p right now then yes he should be. But I don't think Hopkins should be top 10 p4p so no I don't think it makes him top 10 p4p. I'd have Froch above him even (Pascal).

    He's expected to win? Since when.

    Hopkins will school pascal.

    Yes, beating two top ten p4p fighters and a few fringe contenders would have done enough.

    they are the same fighter!

    as for pascal - nah he wont be top 10 if he beats B-hop. he need to beat him and then beat Froch (esp if Froch has won the super 6 by then). Then he will be a top 10 p4p for me.

    no its not his opinion on the outcomes of Pascal's fights, its his 'analysis' of him as a fighter which is very false. In another thread he was baltently making up things to make himself look 'knowledgable'.

    Actually you're right, Hopkins is the favorite in this fight.

    I'm gonna bet on Pascal again, like I did against Dawson.

    No, but if he beats Dawson clearly and non-controversially in the rematch, he's close to the Top 15. Beating this version of Hopkins won't prove much at all.
