    Yes or no?

IMO Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson >>>> Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams

    even though Hopkins is old

yea those are the other 2 contenders but I think Martinez is alrady over Pacquiao. Especially that Pacquiao won it in 2008 and 2009 it's time for fresh blood!

honestly I think Hopkins even at 46 is almost impossible to stop, so it would be a great accomplishment for Pascal to be the first to do it. Even just winning would not be easy for anyone.

How does Pac have a better case than Pascal and Martinez?

Martinez was the underdog in both of his fights and gave awesome showings on both.
Pascal was something like a 5-1 underdog against Dawson and is a favorite against Hopkins but really whens the last time Hopkins was a favorite in a big fight?

Its either one of those 2. Martinez brutal KO might just give him the edge. Although an impressive Hopkins KO would do too.

    Martinez no matter what happens.

    Nah, still Martinez for me.

He gave away 11lbs to Pavlik and outfought him.

He knocked out Williams, a guy who has never ever been anywhere close to being knocked out at all.

I didn't think Pascal was overly impressive vs a very subdued Chad Dawson, and if you watch B-Hop's fight with Jones you will clearly see that B-Hop has no stamina at all and is pretty much shot.

I don't get why people are saying Dawson only lost cos he wasn't mentally right or whatever. Pavlik was considered washed-up before the Martinez fight and most people on the board were picking Martinez. Chad Dawson what the undisputed #1 LHW and was undefeated.

yea it's bull****. Pascal's gameplan made it look like Dawson wasn't mentally right because he forced Dawson to take the fight to him, which Dawson is not used to doing.

    That's the bottom line.

I guarantee you Dawson beats the **** out of him in a rematch. Whenever Dawson did open up the gulf in class was clear.

I guarantee you the rematch will be a close fight regardless of the result. The only time Dawson was able to open up is when Pascal was taking breathers.

Stopping Hopkins would be an incredible achievement. So yes, I think he'd deserve the number one spot.
