Check out the British forum for a live link I’ve posted for the HBO Superfly 2 card, JT. It’s available in Australia.

Regardless of what you think Williams never showed he was capable of stopping a top heavyweight. You want to prove me wrong? We'll hear crickets chirping. Williams was the Earnie Shavers of the 60s. An overrated fraud that some are enormoured with but for whom there is absolutely zero substance to his mythos. Go ahead. Tell me all of the great fighters he stopped or even beat. *Chirp chirp chirp*.

All of this doesn't mean he wouldn't have a punchers chance vs Patterson. Johansson didn't have much behind him prior to stopped Floyd. It's boxing, it happens.

Mac Foster and Ron Lyle, which great fighters did they stop? No chance against Floyd?

Johansson had a lot more going for him. Ingo was already winning stadium fights in Europe as the main event. Eddie Machen in one round!

By comparison Williams at 28-0 was losing on the undercard of a stadium event ..to 7-3 Sly Jones.

Sly Jones was Williams coming out party in New York. He blew it.

How about Pat Comiskey and Charlie Reztlaff? I don’t think Williams EVER eclipsed those two.

    I don't see the correlation.

I think Williams would knockout Floyd. The size, power and he also had decent speed and coordination for a bigger guy. BigCat may be overated but I think his offense would be enough to overwhelm Floyd. I don`t think Patterson`s chin holds up.

Eddie Machen. In front of 53,615 fans in Ullevi football stadium, Johansson downed Machen three times, finally finishing him with a barrage of punches at 2:16 of the first round. It was a Swedish outdoor record.

He also fought Erskine, Richardson, Neuhaus, Cooper, Hoff and Cavicchi before huge crowds in football stadiums.

Retzlaf and Comiskey were as good as Williams. There is absolutely nothing to suggest Cleveland Williams was any better than they were. Nothing.

How many of them were world class? Ingo has one top win other than his ko of Floyd ,his ko of Machen, and he ran out of the return match. Wlad set indoor records in Germany fighting second raters, all the while US TV wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. So what does that actually mean? WTF did the Swedes know about boxing? Ingo was one of the shallowest records of any champion and that is undeniable!
