If Paul Williams Beats Winky... Is Everyone Going To Call Winky Washed Up?

atsch A peak Winky would easily UD Williams, I like PW but he still has a ton of flaws in his game.

 

On this forum, it's a lose/lose situation for Williams. If he wins, Winky is washed up. If he loses, he's fraud. Don't forget that people seem to be pretty evenly split on this fight.

 

shane mosely was never that effective at JWW definatly out of his depth. he had a NC will MArquez who was troubling him more then he should of and agianst winkey in the reamtch he made it alot closer whaen rasing his out put and using angles. remeber when winkey put his hands down and almost paid for it when mosely went to the body and then the head.

look at the vargas fight vargas punch out put,angles and power is what saw him through the fight .

 

What timeframe do you consider to be Winky's peak years?

how? exactly how does he easily UD him what in Winkey style would allow him to capitalize on the mistake that PW makes now.

please don't bring up the first Quintana fight as measuring stick as they have 2 totaly seperate styles' and have nothing in common . plus PW corrected most of his mistakes that cuased him to lose that fight.

 

I will probably call Winky washed up. and I like Williams but WW is old news by now..

 

98-06, , you're right , this is a lose lose situation for PW, Winky is 37 and coming off of a loss plus 2 yr layoff so the prestige of beating him isn't there but if he loses he will get **** for it, IMO if a decent version of Winky shows up he wins, PW has no defense and is wide open.

 

He's washed up, but still got the skill...but we're not exactly sure how the ring rust will effect his game...

I sadly think this is merely a stepping stone.

If Williams doesn't do excellent or pretty good...was getting worked by a washed up shell of a former great.

If Williams loses...he was overrated.

its a lose lose...the only thing to gain is that name on his record and hopefully some doors that will open.

What you can hope for is that Williams beats him convincingly or KO's him, and then Winky goes on to fight some other top contender like AA and beats him silly. Then it would look good for Williams...but I REALLLLLY doubt that.

 

I saw PW in with washed up mitchell, Quintana, slow ass Margo, and old ass phillips, Paul is too damn easy to hit at the elite level, he is so wide open it's funny, I think even an old Winky will get him, the Winky that shut Mosley out wouldn't lose a rd to PW, not hate just honesty, this guy needs to learn to cover up.

I dont think Pavilks got the nuts to fight King Aruthur so if Williams wins, then let Williams take the middle weight tiltle, because we all know he'll fight anybody.
