If Paul Williams is so tuff why isn't he making his super six bid?

Probably the same reason Montiel and Donaire stayed out of the Showtime Bantamweight tourney. Because Ol' Bob doesn't want to promote and share money with the other guys.

I'm sure thats part of it but when asked about it Kelly said he was too good for it and mocked Showtime and bragged about being a HBO fighter and said there was no money in it. He then went on to get his ass completely outclassed by B-Hop. HBO wouldn't **** with him until he fought Sergio and the rest is all history.

So, let me get this straight?

You want him to break his contract, dump his signed fight with Martinez for the legit middle-weight championship, in a long awaited, much anticipated rematch of last year's fight of the year, so he can jump up to 168 to get into a shakey tounament that is just barely holding on by a thread???

Good plan... maybe you should apply for the job as his new advisor! :good

If he can get down to 154lbs then thats where he should be, theres no unfair and fair in it, just because he's tall and has a long reach doesnt make him a natural 168lber, that is a very flawed logic and pretty stupid.:good

Alexis Arguello was one inch taller than Marvin Haglar. Well -- I guess he was a real chicken **** for not fighting guys his own size -- Right?

IMO williams is a natural 154 pounder yes hes tall but like others mentioned he doesnt have the muscle needed to go beyond 160 and be a legitimate threat even at 160 I wouldnt favour him against everybody imo martinez beats him in their rematch and if he ever fights pirog he will get whooped again.

160 is the second most prestigious division in boxing.

Yes it is, and it is the division to watch next year. Some of the young guys coming up will disappoint us, but some others will prove themselves, and the division will get very hot by years end.
