If Paul Williams wants to be a superstar, why doesn't he hype his fights?

its not a problem but pwilly has been campaigning at middleweight, pac and floyd are barely welterweights.

And if he can make WW, he can campaign there too and fight other WW's. Emphasis on IF though...

Are you high? When a fighter buys his way out of your contract :deal and goes on to become the top earner in boxing without your help in any way. Plus he only needed a few fights to do it. As his prior promoter. You Failed. :nono

Floyd did that only after gaining mainstream exposure. He was with Arum at least to Gatti, which was more or less, his coming out party.

Arums is still perhaps the best today at making stars.

I thought Paul was on his way to superstar and the top of boxing until the first Quintana fight. Then the Martinez fight was great but I thought he lost again then, and he was definitely losing to Cintron before he fell out the ring. I have now changed my views don't see him becoming a superstar ever.

Look at pac's weights since going to WW. Just because he's moving up a couple pounds now doesn't make him a full fledged WW. He's still small.

Arum played a major role in making Mayweather a star whether you want to accept it or not. Mayweather left him because he had plans to fight DLH and knew Arum would stand in the way so he had to get out. Arum also played a major role in making DLH a star and many others, that can't be denied as much as you love or hate him. Who failed?

I've lost a lot of respect for Williams for how he has conducted himself during the promotion of this fight. Once again, he has done nothing to sell the fight, but talk about how he wants to be a superstar. He has really made no effort to become marketable.

well, you might want him to put on an act, but thats not who he is. he may not become a big superstar but he definitely an entertaining fighter.

To become an entertaining fighter to the casual fan, you got to start knocking guys out. He's not doing that. He just throws alot of punches hoping something will happen. He's not getting it done outside the ring or inside the ring to become this superstar he's craving to be.
