Rubio had a very good defense. It doesn't take much pop to put AA in the corner. If AA tries anything different we may find him asking for oxygen in the Pavlik fight by the 6th round.

Rubio's defense is not like Double A's lets not go there ..And when has Kelly been hit by a fighter with the pop of Double A ? Its a great match up ..No one walks through anyone in this one!

Arthur's defense consists of putting on his ear muff, and laying on the ropes, or hiding in a corner. Get it? On the ropes or in a corner! That's where Pavlik victims go to die! It's Arthur that needs DRAMATIC change just to make the fight competetive. You think that plodder is going to turn into BHop or Taylor over night?

Miranda and Zuniga can bang, but we lack common opponents to know if any of the 3 have an edge. It is only speculation that AA has the most power and that is against the level of competition.

And we do know that both AA and Pavlik put Miranda down several times before the ref stepping in. So what makes you think that AA hits that much harder when we just didn't see that to be the case against Miranda?

People are giving AA too much credit here and based on what? Two wins against Miranda? AA is good but elite:lol:. Pavlik fought a more measured fight against Rubio and I think that's in preparation for Abraham. Pavlik will have an easy night against AA if he fights from a distance, behind the jab, and punishes AA when he covers up.

Today's local paper features a photo on the front of the sports section of Rubio grimacing in pain as Kelly lands a left to the body under Rubio's guard. Rubio used lots of high guard and Kelly landed lots to the body. Abraham has a reach disadvantage and won't be as quick after a punch like that to be in a postition to counter.

Absolutely....I think PAV has the credit he deserves now. The loss to Nard hasn't really hindered the way he's percived by the boxing world..it just cooled down the hype he had. But PAV without a doubt is the man at 160. He has some stiff comp but IMO he'll reign supreme over anyone at 160.

I wouldn't say either are elite. Just the best two fighters in a shallow division.

Can't wait for this fight tho'.
