If Pavlik Beats Martinez, How Much Credit Will You Give Him?

some, but you yourself boo have made lengthy posts explaining how overrated Martinez is and how flawed he is so we can't give Pav too much credit right?

 

I will say Pavlik needs to keep taking the big fights and build his legacy. He has all of the ingredients to become a HOF fighter - he just needs to keep busy and take the right fights. The Martinez fight is a step in the right direction. If he can manage to lure margarito or Williams into a fight that would be another step in the right direction - then he can start thinking about a move to supermiddle for more marquee matchups!

 

He will get plenty of credit from me and rightfully so. He's fighting a guy that's a difficult style for him.

 

Pavlik is a tremendous fighter. He has an easy time with shorter fighters because he has a great defense by leaning back after he punches. He may have a very easy time with martinez and if he does we have to give him the Hopkins fight discount/benefit of the doubt because of the weight issue as he stepped up to 168 or around there.

if Pavlik beats Martinez my hats off to him, Martinez IMO has a good shot at beat Pavlik who seems to have trouble with boxers that know how to move....
imagine the line up of fights we could have with these fighters

Pavlik/Martinez will say little or nothing about Pavlik/Williams. He bombs PW out either way IMO.

 

what some of you sick maniacs don't understand is I call matchups as I see them... yes I have favorite fighters but at the end of the day I call the matchup as I see it...

kermit cintron also saw some success against martinez fighting orthodoxed

I expect kp to win... but I also haven't watched as much footage as I normally do and actually matchup the styles.... I'm just going from what I saw in the pw sm fight

 

hes suppose 2 win..its not like hes beating a top notch comp.....but it wont matter becaus hes going to lose....if he wins, no credit....fight someone better....

 

He beat Cintron and PWilly in my book. If Pav's beats him, and I think he will, will be a big win for him.
