If he comes back, how many low end cards must he take before taken seriously? I honestly think he needs 3-4 fights before showtime or hbo would even consider him.

Three or four cards for a fighter that only fights roughly twice a year is nearly two or three years in obscurity. Being honest, Kelly Pavlik doesn't have that much left in the tank, or at least I don't believe he does. It'd be different if you were talking about a fighter like James Degale that hasn't had the wear and tear associated with longevity, but Pavlik, especially with his type of style, doesn't have much time left.

If Kelly Pavlik can redeem himself with a spectacular Friday Night Fights performance, Boxing fans have short memories and I think HBO would give him the benefit of a doubt. Their's been so many fighters that have gone straight to HBO after one impressive performance that I'm sure someone with the name value of a Kelly Pavlik shouldn't have any problem.

I dont think that he will box again. That guy is smart, he put that cash on the side. No reason to get his brain smashed around for peanuts.
