And Mayweather Sr. accomplished what with Hatton? At this point you would only get a trainer trying to pound Pavlik into a mold that is familiar to them. It would take a few years for them to get up to speed on Kelly's style and strengths/weaknesses. Something Loew has been watching since Kelly was 9 years old. Even when Kelly went back to working on basics in the Rubio fight, Kelly/Jack got criticized for that.

I have personally watched someone take a talent and turn them world class. It isn't always about what you know. It is about the chemistry. There has to be trust.

Ok fine let Pavlik stay with Leow, let him be one dimensional, i wish he never changes trainer so i can see him getting his ass handed to him again but thats gonna be kinda unlikely since from now on he will be cherry picking and only fighting b level fighters.

I think Roach would be a good fit actually, over time he transformed a very 1 dimensional fighter to the far more complete fighter that is Pac now.
Nazim might also be a good fit, i think Kelly needs someone that finetunes him and teaches him some head movement and a more varied attack.

Also someone that can change tactics mid fight, something Leow obviously can not do.

Nazim is good at getting a fighter to use what they already have to the best of their abilities, so really, he'd be good too.

Arum and Loew are stunting Pavlik's career.

    Trainers **** it up.

    Hence "Double up the jab!"

    "Hit em in the balls!"

And of course the epic "Just throw a lot of punches that's how Calzaghe beat this guy."

And I agree that seperating Lowe and Pavlik is just silly at this point in his career.

Okay -- good points, but let's back up a bit. Steward grossly underestimated Pavlik. In addition, the things Steward said in the corner made it VERY clear that Steward did not know jack **** about KP. Listen to the difference between Steward and Richardson!

Steward told Jermain a bunch of crap like "your conditioning is wearing him down."

Richardson told BHop, "Keep choppin', don't let up, an ass whoppin' don't mean **** to this guy, he learned to fight gettin' his ass whooped, keep choppin."

One man did his home work. The other did not. It would make no sense for KP top switch from his life long trainer to a guy who lost his MW champ because he failed to do his homework.
