If Pavlik defeats Hopkins, who should he fight next?

Both would be good, but i'd say Abraham - prove conclusively he's the No. 1 in his division. There'd be nothing left at MW then and he could move up...

Abraham, clear the division and move up... Would be an exciting fight.

 

I want to see him fight Calzaghe

but Abraham is more deserving of a shot at Pavlik
than Pavlik is of a shot at Calzaghe

 

Calzaghe before he escapes. Abraham is only 28 so there's no rush to get that fight on, but Calzaghe won't be around for much longer.

I voted for Abraham. If something prevents Pavlik and AA from meeting at 160, they will no doubt meet up somewhere down the road.

Calzaghe is a whole different story. He said Roy Jone is a has been. He called Kelly out repeatedly. Kelly said "I want Calzaghe before he gets one day older." Top Rank Wanted the fight. Team Pavlik wanted the fight. HBO wanted the fight. Frank Warren wanted the fight. Joe fired Frank, and made a fight with Roy Jones. Calzaghe does not deserve to share a ring with Kelly Pavlik.

 

Common sense says Abraham. He is in the same weight division and it is about as close to a 50/50 fight between 2 champions as you are likely to get in boxing at the moment. Nevertheless, I am British and suffer from a distict lack of common sense. I want to see Abraham fight Pavlik definitely, but it has to be Joe. I want to see Joe fight Pavlik very soon and then retire. That is assuming that his deterioration is not too pronounced when he fights RJJ. If Joe doesn't look close to the Kessler fight, he should retire.

 

I want to see the Calzaghe fight if they both win.

If Pavlik chooses Abraham after Hopins then the Calzaghe fight will never happen.

 

Doesn't matter, but the next fight after that should be Kessler if Pavlik wins.
