man...i've been a longtime fan of jermain and i dunno if i would want to see him risk it given the beatings he's taken over the last few years. but on the other hand, given what we've seen from kelly over that same span, jermain very well may think he has a real chance.

Yeah, I don't like Pav's chances at higher weights right now. I think he gets beaten by most if not all of the Super 6 and Bute and at 175 I don't think he could physically touch Dawson or withstand Cloud. He might actually have an interesting match with a Glenn Johnson at 175 though, considering Johnson's age and height. I've yet to see Stieglitz fight, so maybe Pav does have a chance with him for all I know.

Pavlik's management team has been the biggest problem w/Pavlik. They have completley failed him and have made horrible choices of opponents. First, fighting Hopkins at 170, no reason to fight at this weight, no title to be won and Hopkins to smart of a def fighter and an expert at getting his opponents to fight the way he wants to fight. I recall Jack Lowe saying Kelly was gonna ko Bernard. Nobody will ever ko Hopkins!
One bone headed move after another.
Fighting Martinez instead of Williams. Pavlik had hell with Hopkins movement and he chooses a fighter who moves much more and is much quicker that Hopkins. If he would of chose Williams, he would of had a good chance of winning. Williams would of went right at him, just what Kelly needs.

Now Jack Lowe and the rest of Kelly's team are thinking of fighting Dawson! Thats insane, a much faster fighter with good power and good movement. It would be a disaster for Pavlik. They call out Dawson instead of fighters that would make Kelly's style look good like Abraham, Froch, even Kessler. These would be entertaining fights and Kelly would not have to go "looking" for these 3 because all would go straight to him.
But it looks like Pavlik's team will continue their bad decision making and this will lead to the end of Pavliks career.

He needs to fire his whole team, get a new trainer who knows what to do instead of going into a fight w/no cutman, not even a basic thing like vasaline and medication to help w/clotting. Jack Lowe always seems over confident and when things start going wrong he appears to be in denial as he can't believe his eyes. He spends the whole fight in disbelief of whats going on instead of coming up w/ a plan b and getting his fighter to implement it.

Well i won't say "there's no way" cause Pavlik vs Froch would almost be an even fight but i pick Froch cause he's bigger in bodysize and a proven puncher at supermiddleweight.

Nope. My original statement stands. Just because you don't lie about EVERYTHING doesn't mean your "guarantee" isn't a big fat lie. Show me the funds you are putting in escrow to make good on losses incurred.

Boxing is a business...Pavlik needs to be at 175 imo...He can make noise and win titles in that division...

Nope dawson carves his ass up....pascal probably beats him...I give him agood chance to beat most guys at 175, keep in mind pavlik is not a shot fighter...I just think based on styles he could do some damage at 175...I favor him to beat johnson too...and dpending on how much mentally he has left could beat cloud...

Well, he did look more convincing against Miranda than Ward did and more convincing against Taylor than Froch did, so to say that Ward and Froch KO him is a bit pessimistic towards Pavlik.

Wether he can ever mentally get over the Hopkins loss and improve as a fighter is another story.

Ward doesn't hit hard as Pavlik did in which is Why Pavlik Tko Miranda while Ward didn't. But Ward easily beat Miranda anyway. If you want to go there then Taylor beat Hopkins twice in a row while Pavlik beat Taylor twice in a row but Hopkins easily beat Pavlik. <<<Style makes fight my friend.
