He recently fought at middleweight i repeat middleweight. Maybe you missed it but he fought Taylor to a split decision I repeat he fought Taylor to a split decision. ****ing ****** get your facts straight. His home is at Light Middleweight I repeat Light Middleweight. So ****all with your bum claims:good
Thats what they made it out to be. It was another **** poor showing from Taylor. To think Jermain could'nt step up and put the hurt on that little ***** all to sad:-( :-(
Not at all -- I'm very much a fan of both. I just think it's very unreasonable for people to expect Pavlik to immediately step up and challenge the champion of one weightclass higher -- not only that, but an exceptional one that is ranked high within the P4P top 10. He only just made it to where he is,a nd it's a tremendous achievement. What the hell do people want? Some people, conversely, have started calling Pavlik 'overrated' because he would not be able to beat Calzaghe, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Pavlik knocked out both the #1 contender and the middleweight champion himself, so he's to be rated the #1 Middleweight in the world, no iffs, ands or buts about it. I don't want people pushing Pavlik to be somewhere where he's not supposed to be yet -- he should stay at Middleweight for as long as he can and try and be a champion -- for the moment, that's challenging enough. How much I think of a fighters ability =/= how much I like a fighter.
Fantastic post Mr. Shake, all true. Most of the threads or posts calling for Pavlik to KO 1 King Kong IMO are not by true Pavlik fans (IMO most are probably Pavlik haters in disguise:blood ). Sorry about my other post as I thought your OP was a little out of character for you, but we're now clear.:good
True, if it came down to it, I like Pavlik a hell of a lot more than Calzaghe. He's a down-to-earth guy who took all the risks in the world and came out on top -- if I were rooting for him any harder my hands would fall off. But Calzaghe is a special boxer, and Pavlik doesn't need to fight him -- there are other names out there. Calzaghe's been a champion for a decade -- he should be looking up, if anything, not down, and I think he knows that.
