If PBF and Canelo were the same size no one would even be talking about this fight

Oh look we have a genius

So you tell me, do you really think Red has enough tools in his belt to deal with floyd if they were the same size or better yet if Red was competing at 147?

Please enlighten me with your deep wisdom .

I don't think so. Canelo has skills that most fighters don't, like leg speed and ring intelligence. People talk about Canelo's fights regardless of who he's fighting though, so..

I'll have to see it to believe it. I think he will be closer to 170 personally.

So if Floyd wins and people say "all Floyd did is beat an inexperienced, averaged boxer with **** stamana and slow speed who never had a chance of winning" you'd be cool and not complain that FLoyd doesnt get any credit right big homie?

I'm saying people are buying into the hype because of Canelo's size advantage. If both were the same size it wouldn't even be worth talking about. Still a dangerous fight because of that but that's the big draw that and he's got red hair and is Mexican. At the end of the day Canelo isn't anything special if he moves up to 160 I can name a number of guys who I would favor against him. He better stay at 154 where he still has the size to deal with most guys. Good fighter but not a P4P elite level fighter.

    Age should also favor Alvarez.

I definitely dont see him being elite but remember dude is only like 23. For his age hes great.
And im with you in that Canelo's size (ill throw power in there) is really the biggest factor in his favor as his skill level definitely aint on Mayweathers. Im actually surprised at how many people seem really confident that hes gonna beat Floyd, like I can see it being a pretty good close fight, maybe, but people seem seriously confident that not only will he win but by stoppage. Cant see that happening at all, and while I still think Floyd is gonna win to me its still the best fight I can realistically see being made for him right now and im glad he took it (forced by showtime or not, lol), and if he wins ill have nothing bad to say about it. (Unless Canelo seems seriously affected by the weight loss)
And I say that as a dude who dont like Floyd at all, lol

If he was young guy full of energy that could fight 3 minutes of each round for a full 12 it could help balance it out but he's not. So his youth will only serve as a liability because of his lack of experience with elite level opposition. PBF has not yet shown any stamina issues and hasn't faded. He will get a lesson in the sweet science in this fight.

Spot on. However, with age I'm referring to Alvarez being fresh and hasn't exchanged often with top level opposition yet. He will be able to take punches fine at this early stage of his career and take more risks in the ring than he could afford if he was older. Mayweather though has had enough injuries and took punches from top level opposition. While I do agree and know that age is only a number depending on how abused your body is in the long run.

Okay I see your point about him being the fresher fighter. I agree.
