Considering Sergio says he can't move up more than 4lbs, I'd say 155lbs is a fair weight for him to weigh and still perform at the level he currently does. Personally I think he's moving back to 154 regardless. So a Floyd win at 155lbs would be tremendous. But I don't see Floyd in a million years taking that fight, Sergio is too big and has enough skills to embarrass Floyd in a fight.
Pac gets too much credit for his climb in weight. Once he got into a real strength and conditioning program, his body filled out very well. He was a big fighter in most of the classes he fought in. He had been rehydrating above or near 140 years before he got there.
Does anyone have any 'official' clarification on wtf that the diamond belt is supposed to represent? I mean I know what it really means(more money for Jose Suliaman to swim in) but what is the press row BS that he is pushing for its existence.
flOID won't even fight sergio in 154 how much more north of that. You're full of IFs and then the usual he would just walk on them. Wake up to the real world. :hat
he gets full credit if he beats sergio.....but a catchweight of a pound over the junior middleweight limit is cheezy
I think Sergio could lure him to 155 by putting the second most prestigious belt in all of boxing on the line. A MW belt is a very, very tempting thing. Could Mayweather resist a chance to get his hands on the belt Hagler and Monzon once had? At some point May is gonna be thinking legacy (his bills are already paid I would assume) and I think that point may have arrived.
Such an easy climb to 8 figure paydays, you'd they'd all be doing it. And Mayweather won't be greater than Pac just for beating Martinez, no ****ing way. His resume from 140-154 is not great at all, one win over Martinez will not change that. It will certainly prop up his legacy a good few notches beating the middleweight champ, but he still has to beat Pac, the only sure ATG he could fight.. and still that might not be enough, given Pac has already beaten 2 still prime ATGs Barrera, Marquez, and Morales who wasn't that far from it, as well as having left no stone unturned from 140-147, apart from the Mayweather fight.
He never fought at 154, but besides that, he was a big fighter in every weight class until 140(his natural weight)
