Like Roy Jones before him, Floyd will only start thinking legacy after he loses that first fight. He can make over $40 million to fight guys like Ortiz, Khan, Berto, etc. He wanted nothing to do with Margarito and took lesser money to fight Baldomir, same will apply to Sergio. Legacy for Floyd is remaining unbeaten, not to fight the greatest challenges. To me that's the big difference between him and Pac. Pac jumped to fight DelaHoya when it was expected to be an execution. Floyd's never jumped for a fight with a guy who had a serious advantage over him. When he fought Castillo it was because HBO strong armed him and he balked heavily about it. No chance he's being strong armed now.

    :good
precisely, pac hardly moved up in weight. he was already in the 140's during the morales trilogy. he just systematically stop dehyrating and rehydrating himself. now, he doesn't have to worry about making weight. his opponent might outweight him at fight night but he doesn't care because his body is at optimum level of performance. ie speed and power...

    name them idiot.

He won the lineal/wbc belt from Genaro
    lineal/wbc from Castillo
    wbc from Gatti
    IBF from Judah
    lineal/wbc from baldomir
    wbc from Oscar
    wbc from Ortiz

Those aren't paper belts. A paper belt is the title Pac won at 150

    No.

A 159.5 lb catchweight would not get full credit.

    the weight limit is 160.

I believe 154 would be a reasonable weight for these two to face off.

He didn't fight ******* Margocheato because he hated Arum and didn't want him to make any more money off of him. Besides Baldy was the lineal champ and held the Green belt which Money covets. Besides he had his eyes focused on ODLH who was the real cash cow and in effect passed the torch to PBF as the PPV king.

IF money beat Serg, he would be without a doubt the p4p king and best of this generation. Even if he fought him @ 154, serg weighed 158 for his last fight and says he will not fight @ SMW because he is a small MW. I cannot see serg having any problem make 154.

BTW I am a fan of both Pac and PBF and right now it is to close to call who is the best, the only way to break the deadlock is to fight each other or the next best thing . . . and that is Serg without a doubt. Serg is a fighter who is in his prime, great quickness, power, and is a harder match-up for either guy than what they have done in the last 5 fights (even @154). Serg, is the MW champ (not belt holder) which is the second most coveted title in boxing.

    Genaro lost to DLH
    Castillo was rubbed
    Gatty was losing many fights
    Judah lost to baldomir
Baldomir had a terible record including many loses
It was time for Oscar to retire.
Non of these fighters were at their best.

    Off topic:
bballchump, in your opinion, does Pacquiao having 1 more lineal win over Floyd currently make him greater?

I voted yes, but the cheating ducker won't take that fight for 50 million bucks.

For sure. But Floyd cannot move up that far. Guess hope for catchweight maybe.

It would help Floyd's legacy A LOT.

But it would not make him greater than Pacquiao.

How could the floyd dickriders rejoice if he won? The title wouldn't count to them since it would be a catchweight title. Like Floyd's fight w/ Ortiz, it might as well not even have happened.
