If PBF is back, will he immediately take over Pac in P4P?

I don't know, is the honest answer. It's The Ring's call whether they reinstate him or not.

Personally, I don't think he should be given a p4p ranking until he has fought again and I don't think he should be number 1 again until his recent form has proved to be better than the current reigning number 1, and you couldn't do that in just one fight.

If he is automatically reinstated after around 18 months of inactivity, what sort of precedent does that set? What is the time limit on this? If he comes back again at aged 44, will he still automatically be placed above guys who have been performing at a high level for the last few years?

He will have to earn his spot back..I feel if he fought Pac or a top 4 welterweight that he'd be the clearcut #1....

No, he will start again to regain that spot. He could take that if he beats pac.

Has to earn it not have it handed to him, it doesn't work that way.
