I doubt it. They will just cite all of his injuries, his layoff and his general lack of interest.

Doesn't mean a lick to me. Sammy beats Vitali 25/50/75/100%. Doesn't matter. He can come in at 125% and still get beat.

The credibility of the win will be somewhat diminshed by the fact Gym has KTFO Vitali several hundred times so far

I have respect for Peter. I respect anybody that can throw some of the most powerful rabbit punches in the history of the sport, and never get point deductions

No credit at all, sad but true. Vitali will be coming off a 5 year lay-off with many injuries and Vitali already had stamina issues so expect him to gas out within 3 rounds or 4 tops.

I think some will give him credit, most wont, and continue on with there hating ways, none the less, Vitali will be Peter's biggest test since Wlad in Sept of 05. My money is on Peter, Vitali will look like a shell of his former self, dont be surprised if he gets taken out early to mid rounds, he hasnt felt a live punch since November of 04, and Peter certainly packs a heavy punch.

A lot depends on how Vitali fights. If he turns up and gets blasted out in 2 rounds, it won't look like a good win for Peter. It will just look like Vitali is shot, the lay off ruined him, and he's been in too many wars with the punching bag

If it gets into the later rounds, and Vitali looks half decent it will be a good win for Peter. But then if Vitali looks half decent, Peter might be in trouble...

Peter will get minimal credit. Which really may not be too far off of how much he should get. Vitali's been too AWOL to be seen as a serious threat anymore.

Almost perfectly said, except the part "sad but true" which should be removed probably as the personal bias.

What bias?, that was there because I'm a Peter fan AND a Vitali fan.

I think if Vitaly only pass the training camp he will be determined enough to win this fight, even with such long layoff.

Actually its 3 1/2 years (close to 4 by proposed fight date), not 5....and I since when has he had stamina problems?? He's never been stopped because of gassing out. Sure he tires, kinda hard not too when you're as big as he is, but I can't recall him gassing out like Wlad has. Vitali usually does well at pacing himself, even though he almost never needs to go 12 rounds.

I believe if he makes it to the fight, he will come in good shape and Peter will have no easy night.

I think it will all depend on Vitali. It won't be too hard to see if he's close to the same fighter we remember from 2003-2004. If he looks good but Peter simply wears him down and wins, it will be a good win. If Vitali is all over the place, it will be obvious he's either too rusty or just not the same guy. I'm still not convinced Vitali will make it past training camp, but I hope he does because I want to see Scam Cheater do the chicken dance again.
