yeah he did get winded but he fought very smart when he was tired. he'd let his opponent walk right into his punches instead of wasting energy going after them. Peter would play right in to this. Vitali excels against guys who rush him.

And both Vitali and Lewis were tired after round 6. Lennox collapsed on to his stool.

Peter will not rush Vitali he didnt Rush Wlad, nor did he Rush Maskaev or Toney, Peter has added to his game he is more patient in there now and days, Sure Lennox slumpped on his stool when he fought V Klitschko but he wasnt the one hurt and holding on and one mins rest would have been enough to get Lewis in position to score the stoppage, it was there for him Vitali was lucky that the california commission looked out for his well being, normally if a cut like that happens the way Vitalis did the fight would be called then and there Vitali had been given every opportunity to get something done with Lewis and failed live with it.

I have mentioned several times Peter has improved technically. He has a good jab to the body and straightened out his right hand. He is also very active for a hw and has heavy hands. exellent power left.

However, if you watch his fights starting with Wlad, u will notice a delcine in his in-ring physcial condition. He is far slower and exhibits less balance in the ring. For example, Wlad tattooed Peter with big power shots and jabs and Peter didnt budge 1 inch. Against Maskaev, he was stumbling backwards and sideways when oleg was landing partially. his legs just don't look stable anymore. His weight was 243 against wlad and has been consistently above 250 since. I doubt we will see him south of 250 again. his managers and trainers complain about his work ethic. If Wlad-Peter II came off, no doubt in my mind given these developments that Wlad would stop Peter this time who still has 0 defense.

I doubt Vitali will fight again so i cant see peter-vitali coming off

lewis clearly was in better condition to continue the fight. i doubt lennox would have knocked down vitali though. the cut was going to stop the fight, it just would have been later. and let's not forget, vitali gave lennox the worst beating of his career. his face was very swollen. lewis proved he had a tough chin and could be very resilient

I actually think that Bruno gave Lennox the worse beating of his career probably Mercer as well. Vitali was in the fight with Lewis ahead on the cards but far from the worse beating it was very similar to the first Rahman fight

i thought vitali hurt lennox several times while mercer really never really hurt him. he took some serious leather in both though as his face clearly demonstrated. i thought bruno was just outboxing him for the most part. lewis has stated he was just cold and took control when he finally warmed up.

Okay so your saying Lewis said he was cold during the Vitali fight? becuase that seems to have some truth to it, and it makes senes becuase you cant say that about the Bruno fight he just got lucky in that fight and the Mercer fight I highley doubt he was cold he had a man in there that didnt give a **** about what he could do to him and yes IMO Mercer rocked Lennox more than Vitali did.
but that is what makes this forum what it is we all have our own opinions regarding the fights. :good

AT the end of the 5th round maskaev landed his money right hand and Peter did not budge a inch, also maskaev landed a bomb on Peter in the 4th I believe and Peter did not budge, that was the shot that Manny Stewart said....... Those are the shots Maskaeve knocks other heavyweights out with, that has to hurt his confidence.

Yup, depends upon how good Vitaly looks and acts physically after all this time. If Peter somehow beats a good version of Vitaly, anyone would have to give him a lot of respect. Peter's looked good at different times (toney 2, vs half amazin, and some older fight I watched of a skinner Peter) than looked like a b level guy at best in other fights including maskaev, toney 1.
