If Peter, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Solis, JC Gomez were American would the Klitschko's

get the respect they deserve for beating these great champions and contenders? Let's be honest here, quite a few on here bizarrely are trying to make out David Haye is the best scalp the Klitschko's ever had purely because he is English ( only American's and English types count as fighters you see. :huh ) and it doesn't matter that his record is **** and he has beat nobody of note. Haye clearly is not better than the above non Anglosphere fighters.

As we can see what really hurts the Klitschko's legacy ( in ****wits eyes only of course ) is that all of Peter, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Solis, JC Gomez etc were all to 'foreign' to be appreciated despite the fact that any of those could dominate an era in history, Jack Johnson's for instance.

They probably would have got slightly more respect, but still there would have been a lot of guys that simply would have said "They just weren't that good, all good American athletes play in the NFL and NBA"

If the brothers had been Americans themselves it would be another matter... They probably would have been superstars by now.

All of them except Solis had severe limitations, and Solis wasn't really beaten.

They would get more respect. Part of the problem is the average boxing fan is not very aware of Peter, Chageav, Iggy, Solis, Gomez et al.

Huh? Vitali eaisly hurt him with one shot to the head. The punch stunned Solis, and caused him to loose his balance which resulted in a knee injury.

They'd definitely get more respect because all of them would have been HBO hype jobs and built up as the next best thing

There have been lots of angles, and that's what most saw happening according to the polls after the fight.

If you look at the different angels from the slowmotion replay it is very easy to see that he was wobbled by the templeshot, notice BOTH legs wobble after he was hit. Also, when getting up he´s not able to put any weight on the LEFT leg (healthy one). Check out the replays and you´ll see.

I believe he did injure his knee but that was a result of the knockdown.

Sam Peter was hyped-up by HBO, watch their coverage of Wlad-Peter I, they were hyping Peter as a absolute destroyer who was going to demolish Wlad.
