Does that hate continue? Do we get the excuses of injurys and long lay offs by the people who say Vitali will win? Does Peter get any clout if he destroys Vitali? does he become the legit #1 contender to Wlads thrown?
    Hmmmm:think
its a no win situation for Peter IMO, he must beat them both but even then I doubt he will get the recognition, I think it will take him beating Vitali and Wlad twice, Why? becuase Wlad holds one win over Peter so there will be no credit given IMO until the trilogy is complete.

I think you are right, that if Peter does win, it won't be praised as much, seeing as how Vitali is cold and has been inactive for so long.

    Good point.

I think t would take a rematch and win over a tuned up and rust free Vitali for Peter to really get his due credit.

If that happens then I expect My Humps to start playing and the gates of hell to open forth and Armageddon to come while the Four Horsemen of Death ride across the sky.

You are right. No win situation for Peter...Well, he keeps his title. But of course, everyone agree that a top shape Vitali would destroy Peter so...

Vitali retired due to injuries. He has been inactive for years. He hasn't been in the ring for almost four. And he's old.

Peter is not injury-prone. Peter has been active. He just fought in March. He's young. And he's the WBC heavyweight champion.

Therefore, if Peter doesn't KO Vitali or, at the very least, beat him convincingly on points, he will be exposed as a joke.

However, if Vitali KOs Peter or beats him convincingly on points, then it will only add to his reputation.

It's a hard fight to pick, because none of us know what kind of condition Vitali is in. You just have to assume that he is going to show up and be something like the Vitali Klitschko we all know. If he turns up slow and looks timid, or he happens to get an injury in the ring, then, yeah, it will affect how people judge Peter's victory.

If Vitali looks good, then nobody should hold back on their praise for Peter. However, if Vitali looks poor, then why would people praise Peter's performance?

I don't think Peter stands a chance if Vitali is on form, though.

me too. i think vitali's got this one, but he does have a tendency to walk into a few punches, and if peter catches him...

it's not a sure bet, but i give a really exciting match to vitali.

someone's getting KOed though, i'd bet on that.

Peter isn't even going to give a tough fight much less destroy Vitali. He is in for the beatdown of his career.

If he completely destroys Vitali and quickly then he will get a lot of credit, even if Vitali is coming off a 4 year lay-off with injuries it will still boost Peter's name big-time. The division is hungry for results like that, just look what the KO1 over Andrew Golota did for Brewster, look what only trash talking from Haye is doing for him as well. The division is hungry for something like that, the press will eat it up and a rematch with Wladimir will be very soon(whether Wladimir loses or beats Povetkin).

Funny how everybody is expecting VitKlit to pull up lame with his usual last minute injuries. Joe Tessitore said on Max Kellerman's show 2 days ago that the fight is indeed in jeopardy due to injury but not because of Quitshko. It seems that Sam Peter has a relatively "serious" knee injury that he's nursing and hoping to fight through. We'll see how this one plays out.
