I agree with this. Take a look at Peter's record. When he stepped up the competition above top 25 fighters, he either lost, or almost got knocked the **** out. He even managed to get his ass beat by a old washed up fat middleweight. He tried his best against Wlad but it just wasn't good enough.

Peter's 3 best wins are a gift decision against Toney, a win over a shot fat Toney, and a glass jawed Maskaev that it took him 6 rounds to finally get to the back of the head to hit.

He thought he could anticipate and outlast training camp the last five times too...if it takes him 6 tries to make it through camp, it's obvious that the same VITKLIT won't be showing up to face Peter...that fought the faded and out of shape Lewis.

I dont understand the reasoning behind anyone believing he can stop Vitali. The last thing a fighter lose is his power, and Vitali still has his chin. He could have no legs and be lumbering and still KO Peter.
A lot of fuss is being made about his relfexes could be shot. Okay, so he keeps his guard up and takes the punches on the gloves. Its not like Peter is going to attack him to the body. Vitali has him beat in every area. The only thing any Peter fan is banking on is that Vitali comes in fighting like an aged and spent Riddick Bowe and somehow is completely ineffective.

    Not Happening.

Peter will get KOed. And when he does I will gloat like a mother****er

Let's hope we don't have a cheating referee who just sits there and lets Peter try to hit behind the head. I don't think he'll be able to, but Peter should be warned and/or DQ'd at least once in his career.

no, I am being realistic. Considering a 4 year lay off because of injuries, who says his reflexes will be there to allow him to react and move out of the way of Peter's punches? Who can guarantee his punch resistance will be exactly the same after not being hit for such a long time? Vitali and Lewis fought 5 yrs ago. Fighters punch resistance and more importantly reflexes have changed after time... we have seen it before. Part of the reason Vitali was so effective against many of his opponents was because he had good enough reflexes to back away of punches and make his opponents completely miss, if not at least ensure he would not get hit with the full impact. My concern after such a long layoff for Vitali is his reflexes. If they aren't there, it could result in him eating a heavy clubbing right hand from Peter.
You guys are thinking Vitali will just jump back in the ring and look like he did in the beginning of the Lennox Lewis fight.

Normally a fighter keeps his chin by NOT getting hit with punches. Sure he hasnt fought any four years, meaning he also hasnt been getting hit in the face. A fighters chin doesnt get better by taking constant head shots.

And his power he will still have, he has still kept in shape in the four, years, power is always the last thing to go.

He has his power and a chin, he wins the fight. His relfexes chould be shot to hell and he could get tired after 6 rounds, he still wins.
Peter can throw his wide ass right hand all night long. Like I said before, he keeps his glove up and is still capable of taking a step backwards it wont mean anything.
he lands one uppercut Peters head is going to be hurting like a ***** after a gangbang.

    Fight wont be competitive.

I am not talking about his chin being cracked do to inactivity. On the contrary, I'm referring to him getting caught "cold" after such a long layoff. In a sense, "chin-rust". That is why I stated Peter's chance is early on, to catch him cold before Vitali gets his legs under him and warms up. Sometimes those looping wide punches are the ones that land on guys because they dont see them, and the chances of something like that landing are greater when they haven't fought any opponents in the last 4 years. Ask Vitali's brother about that.

His wins over Toney are bigger than any win on Vitalis record, you debunk those wins by saying that Toney was shot, okay but he still won, Lewis was shot when he was in there with Vitali and Vitali didnt win.
Vitali is known for two fights and two fights alone, both if his losses, one he quit against feather fisted Byrd, and the other loss came at the hands of Lennox Lewis who ripped his face off.
I dont recall a single elite fighter that Vitali has fought and beat. yet some how he is the cream of the HW crop.

Much would depend on HOW Sam wins.

Just as Vitali's stock rose in defeat to Lewis, because he put up a good fight, if Sam wins a competitive bout, he will get credit.

But I can't see him winning a competitive bout with the big guy, so it's a moot point.

What you are missing is that even a 75% Vitali can still beat Peter. I just dont see Peter being able to handle Vitalis size, power, boxing skills etc...
