If Peter Fights Like That Against Vitali Or Wlad

I agree with most of the above posts. Wow Peter beats a guy pushing 40 :roll: looked sloppy doing it too. No doubt Peter is a big puncher with a good chin. But if you take his 2 fights vs Toney, the McCline and even this fight, why are some ESBers getting a boner over this guy??? :huh

 

This fight was a little slow for my taste but a good fight overall -- both fighters had their moments and at the end Peter showed his power.

Both Klitschko's are faster, younger, and better boxers than Maskaev. I don't think that Peter beats either guy and doesn't have a long reign as champion, especially if he considers to fight either Klitschko.

 

im sure you believed the same about peter getting ko'ed by maskaev.. but we know that Vitaly doesn't stand a chance against peter, wlad might run away from the inevitable for some rounds but i am very confident in peter KOing both klits..

Sam Peter is showing massive improvements defensively and that is going to spell trouble for Waldo, let alone his crippled older brother.

When Sam has fully gotten rolling with punches and bobbing under the right hand there is NO WAY he loses to Waldo. Absolutely zero. He'll make that big man get tired and he'll make him pay with short right hand counters inside. If this fight did anything it ensured that the big octopus will stay as far away from Sam as possible.

 

What the bloody hell!? Peter fought a near perfect fight and took everything Oleg had and dished out more back in return. Neither Klitschko punches anywhere near as hard as Oleg does.

So, in other words. Once Sam Peter morphs into another person, who is completely unlike Sam Peter... he would beat Wlad without question. Great point.

That whole "Wlad will stay far away from Peter" thing was tried and used before. It turned out to be untrue as Wlad fought Peter at the first opportunity, and dominated him.

 

Even Uncle Manny says Peter is a much improved and different fighter now...they fought the green Peter, and they know it.

 

He has already started making those changes. I dare you Window, go look at Sam Peter before the two Toney fights and look at the Sam Peter who fought Maskaev. Two totally different guys.

Against Waldo, Sam did what he traditionally would do. Which is go ape**** trying to club the other guy over the head in the first 2 rounds. He obviously was just a green kid who didn't know any better. Toney changed him and that's a fact.

Tonight he blocked the right plenty and avoided Maskaev's left hook by deflecting it with his shoulder. He also landed some beautiful right hand counters over Maskaev's missed right hands. Which by the way, set up the knockout.

The only thing I'll knock about his performance tonight is that when he hurt Maskaev in that first assault he should have mixed up body shots with head shots. Like he did to Taurus Sykes. Had he done that he might have gotten Maskaev out of there right on the spot.

 

So do you dismiss alot of LARRY HOLMS defences against GREEN OPONENTS ! Greener then PETER in fact !:deal
