..Is he on PEDs? Or is it possible for someone to suddenly develop very heavy hands after years of average / below average power?
Lots of fighters start developing more power as they refine their technique, adjust to the weight and develop more strength. Sergio Martinez didnt start knocking people out until much later in his career. As you move from prospect to contender towards champion it should not be a surprise that some fighters keep improving.
Strange one this. He doesn't stop any of his 5 opponents prior to Paulie, who he then destroys like we've seen nobody else do. The connection with Conte is suspicious, but then as it's already been said PED's don't just give fighters magical KO powers. Until proven otherwise I'd like to see people give Porter credit rather than stir rumours.
Styles make fights, Porter just rock to Paulie scissors. Having sparred together extensively they knew exactly how to go about it. Physically Porter has always been drastically superior. Paulie never had anything for him, and Team Porter was well aware. Lots of folks just prepping their excuses for when Brook meets the canvas.
i think there's enough evidence to what Porter's on before he gets any more stoppages. just look at the shady business with the Brook fight. everything stinks with this guy.
I usually agree with you but Porter is still fundamentally pretty sloppy, Sergio kept refining his style and craft from match to match Margarito to Richard Williams to Stone to Bunema you could see him perfecting it. Porter is probably just on PED's. And Paulie was made for him.
