I think team AJ will vacate, I hope they still go through with the fight though. It would be good to see AJ travel as a pro, we saw Wilder do it , Parker, Fury all of these guys have gone or were prepared to go into hostile territory.

He's the only HW seemingly serious about being undisputed. No reason to think he won't just go to Russia.

Well I'd imagine his team will pay someone to trump up some false ped charges against Povetkin just before the fight then he will run off to his home country before any decision can be made...

The bodies will have no choice but to suspend the fight pending an investigation and Povetkin will eventually get cleared..

Its almost like I've seen it before maybe I'm physic??

Well with reports recently they are close to agreeing terms I doubt it will go to purse bids. Joshua's last mandatory didn't require purse bids don't see why they can't come to terms.

Even if they don't come to terms, Rabinsky has made it clear he won't be throwing stupid money to secure fights in Russia anymore. He only bid $7.15 mill for Povetkin/Wilder. The fight makes more money in the UK too as no way it does 90K in Russia, Wlad/Povetkin only did 32K in Moscow. So either Rabinsky bids to have the fight in the UK or loses the purse bids. Unless of course he changes his mind and throws more cash at Povetkin.

Loool Rybanisky has more money than any of the promoters so tell me how it is that the other team can pay them to side against Rybanisky

I don’t think he is scared of Povetkin but Russia is a dodgy country to deal with. Look at RUSADA, what happen to Wach, Browne, Durdola. Obviously AJ has way more clout than those guys but I’m sure that would be on the back of his mind.

With the political problems between the West and Russia at the moment, I personally would not travel there. I don’t know about the States, but it has been dominating the headlines in the UK.

This. I don't see Joshua going to Russia no matter what. But, I also don't see the IBF or WBA putting Joshua in that position. Looking at both fighters the WBA and IBF know Joshua is much better for business in the long run considering Povetkin's age. I'm sure both organizations would give Joshua a voluntary or two to let a little more time pass before really forcing the Povetkin fight on him.
