If PRIME Rafael Marquez was around today, would he BEAT all 118-122s?

I’m not underrating. Too many of the line-up would not be sure wins for him, therefore it’s unlikely that he’d beat them all. I’m pretty sure Inoue would beat him and he likely takes 2-3 other loss due to the competitiveness of the fights.

 

I agree, Rafa was a little chinny. I think he'd lose at least one or two of those match-ups.

 

His chin would be a factor against Inoue and maybe Wangek.

 

And Rigo.

 

Nah. Rigo would play it super safe with Rafa. This wasn't some straightforward one-dimensional dipshit like Willie Casey. Rafa was dangerous and skilled in a combined overall package the likes of which El Chacal probably never faced (Loma more skilled but less dangerous) except in the guise of Nonito Donaire - and he was dropped late in that fight, by a past-prime Flash, and it very nearly affected the outcome.

 

Marquez was good but Puyol was better

Lol at past prime. Why discredit yourself like that? Rafael got hit a lot. Rigo would hit him.

 

rafa would beat beat neri senseless. his wide punches would have rafa looking like arguello.

 

We really haven't seen Inoue's chin checked yet and Rafa could punch; It's possible Marquez takes him out. But Inoue's power is real IMO and I don't think Marquez could take too many bombs from him without getting KO'd.
