If Quigg's not a world champ, why do people moan about his opponents?

If the Frampton fight doesn't happen soon then I would rather see Quigg in with Jazza Dickens / or Galahad, both of who would be better opposition than any of Quiggs last few defences.

 

Does Solaris think Quigg is a legit world champ or not?

Because he isn't, he is a paper champ beating up on smaller guys.

People dont say that about Froch belt where Andre Ward is the super champion, it is used by sad little men as a stick to beat Quiggy with.

 

No people don't say that about froch because he has the actual ibf belt (legit world title) his WBA regular isn't a world title, just like quiggs isn't, povetkins wasn't, it isn't a world title no matter who has it? No one is singling out quigg.

 

What everyone seems to be missing here is the damage being done to Quigg by these soft touch opponents.
They are not adequate prep for future big fights.
Carl, rigo, etc fight live opponents, not stiffs.

 

Quigg is to blame as much as his handlers. Why doesn't he speak up? I know he's a tad slow, but...

 

Not a Quigg fan but he has a world title so is a world champ, otherwise what is the definition of being a world champ? Is it just a case of a bunch of idiots online picking and choosing when someone is a world champ? Give the guy a bit of credit came through domestic level and has beaten all of the fringe contenders he has faced. I understand the criticism of the opposition but he has chased fights with Frampton and Santa Cruz and if they don't materialise then I don't think its fair to criticise him for that

Scott Quigg's WBA belts a watered down version of the world title. The word "regular" is a giveaway.
These sort of belts are only good for holding up your trousers.

F*ck me, if anyone is fighting FW's it's Quigg.

Quigg hasn't beaten a SINGLE Superbantam weight fighter of note yet. His last 3 fights have been against total unranked no-marks.

I think even the biggest Quigg fan and Frampton hater on this board (which happens to be you) can say that out of Carl and Scott, Scott is fighting nobodies.
