Would that be the end of his career?

On esb yes one loss would be the end of his career. In reality his stock would drop but no reason he couldn't raise it back up by beating a few halfway decent contenders

Why would one loss signal the end of his career?

No. With this new league there will always be a need for fighters. Even a guy with multiple losses like Berto is still around. I could see where he might eventually be relegated to the likes of ESPN2 or Spike TV, but for now he's one of the top guys at NBC.

Who's he gonna fight if he loses to socalled raise back his stock?

He turned down 1.4 mil to duck Korobov.

If he gets stopped by Lee, he's looking at 50K/fight for a few fights, vs the Veras, McEwans, and Jarrod Fletchers.

Yeah, he'd win those types of fights, but where do they get him???? By that time, the easy fights vs the likes of Cotto and Martinez will no longer be available, and he'd be forced to fight GGG or Kyrtov for another title shot. Both of whom KHTFO in 2 rds tops.:-(

quillin made a stupid choice by not fighting korobov he woulda knocked that guy out just like lee i believe.

both quillin and lee have solid power but lee is on a decent lil hot streak so he might be able to pull it off vs quillin this might be lee's peak right now

    i disagree.

    1. that loss hurt Korobov's career at the very least in the short term, and if Quillin loses this he'll drop even more stature.
    2. the ref and judges may be bought but Lee certainly isn't. he isn't going to give up that belt without throwing everything he has to keep it.

Man that would be pretty big for Lee though

Winning several fights he isn't supposed to

Are you trying to suggest that Koborov's career wasn't hurt by getting KO'd by Lee because I assure it was

Showtime will keep pushing him down our throats and act like nothing happened and he's still a "star" like they do with AB.

It's off topic but I give Lee a decent chance to win. Quillin was having problems making 160 and now he's been pretty inactive. I think he will be drained for that fight. His stock already took a tremendous hit when he ducked Korobov a loss from Lee will send him to a mini oblivion.

Well NBC will still shove him down our throats like he's a star.
