Maybe once. The WBA belt hasn't had credibility in a long time. Whenever a WBA champion who might bring some prestige to the belt again wins it something bad happens.

Chagaev became the first person to beat Valuev (controversies aside) but then lost it out of the ring. Rather than Wlad getting the belt when he beat him, Valuev got hold of it again. Haye beat Valuev, but really Holyfield should have had the belt first because he was robbed previously. You could argue that Wlad and Holyfield both had a claim to the belt while Haye held it, but Wlad put an end to it by beating Haye. We couldn't have a legit WBA champ though, so they gave it to Alexanduck Povetkin instead

Probably wasting our time speculating on a Rahman victory. The guy almost always comes up short in these situations.
