If Rees wins does he become a superstar or does he go under the radar?

He'll never become a superstar, irregardless of who he beats, doesn't have the look or persona for it. Maybe he could become a working class hero type though, id reckon he'd like that more :D

No I don't think so. He's 32 years old and has reached his level. If he beats Broner people will look at it as Broner just being a hype job rather than getting excited about Rees. If he was a young kid, then things would be different, but a 32 year old that is not a big name even in Britain, who has operated at domestic/euro level for his career, and who is not a controversial or charismatic character is not gonna excite people even if he wins this fight. Not knocking him by the way, just being realistic.

Besides, Broner himself is not a superstar just yet, so I think you're over estimating his status as a big name.

He has done that once before, it got him one better pay day, but hardly made him a 'superstar'.

The way boxing is reported in the press in this country id be surprised it even gets a postage stamp on the monday morning. Especially as hes a welsh fighter. Look at when burns beat martinez. There was **** all.

Don't know about superstar but he will be a lot better known than he is now for sure. He will also be a lot richer. Even if Broner moved up a weight rather than take a return fight, the ricky burns fight would be worth a lot more.

Superstar or not, it would easily be the biggest achievement by a British boxer since Honeyghan shook up the world.

As of right now, Broner is nothing more than a footnote in boxing history, and I'm being generous, if Rees beats him, so what? Some will be shocked, but stranger things have happened (probably).

What a ridiculous overstatement. Broner isn't anywhere near the same level as Curry was.
