He said he can make 140, and did. However if face looked like someone who has been starved. Was he Oscar mark II i.e dead at the weight
No. He's gotten by on his trademark of brawling and bullying his oppositon into submission...something he is unable to do at 147 due to his small stature. He may as well retire before he gets seriously damaged.
Hell no. He is too small to effectively use his style at 147. The top guys at the weight would all beat him, quite a few by KO, especially since it seems his chin has gone. If he comes back at all he will have to come back at 140 and go for some titles. There are plenty of options. Bradley, Witter if he gets the WBC strap, Khan if he beats Kotelnik, Kotelnik himself, Torres, Holt. I think he could win these fights. However after that KO I don't think he will be coming back.
If he's got to the stage where his style isn't effective at 140 then its def. not going to be effective at 147.
His punch resistance was horrible at 147. The only thing I think of as a positive for Hatton right now is he's $12mill + PPV sales richer, and Urango might beat Berto.
I'm feeling a night of upsets on that card Urango by TKO Berto has been buzzed a few times but has always came back but Urango has serious power. Think your right too Gaz i had collazo winning that fight.
No he shouldn't fight at 140 or 147. Tim Bradley is the main man at the weight now. Pac can go up or down. Bradley is a clever pressure fighter and for me the man at 140. Pac is only pissing around through the weight divisions to get to Floyd (who he will beat)
147 he does not have the size of power advantage to fight as a brawler as he will get out muscled and they punch a bit harder and his resistance is not getting any better. 140 is perfect for him but i think he is on the long slippery slope
