If Ricky Hatton had beaten Mr.Mayweather back in 2007, would his resume beat Joe's?

From my analysis, even if had he beaten Floyd, he would still be a little ways away from Joe's.

Beating Money in 2007 would definitely be the best win of both resumes, by far and away. But if you look at it from an overall perspective, you gotta give it to Joe.

    How do you see it?

Easily but IMO his resume is already better than Calzaghe's, at least Hatton had a go against the best fighters in their prime.

No offense, but it really isn't. It isn't close atm.

I will say that Hatton's opposition at an elite level > Joe's.

Just because Hatton fought Mayweather and Pacquaio doesnt mean he has a great resume: he got ko'd by both. If he had won it would have been different.

Obviously. That win alone would have given him the better resume.

He didn't even come close though. Round 9 was beautiful from Mayweather.

His record at the moment is 50/50 with Calzaghe anyway, a win over Mayweather would blow him way above and beyond.

Hatton relied on hometown referees and judges for most of his fights and his best win was against a shot to **** Tszyu with a crooked referee letting Hatton foul the whole fight. Hatton also has a Glass Jaw and was brutally and embarrassingly KOed in his 2 biggest fights.

But he has a better resume than Calzaghe? :huh

Without a doubt, win over Floyd alone would be more than anything Joe did, but Hatton wasnt even close...

If he won no one would put Joe in the same sentence with him. But he just wasnt at their level.

That would be a tenfold improvement on his actual best career win. (prime Mayweather is so far beyond a faded Tszyu it boggles the mind)

I can't even wrap my head around the idea of a world in which Hatton beat him. That would be nuts.

Then does he still go on to get knocked out by Pacquiao?

WTF does that leave everyone to have quibbled about on here the last seven years?
