Serious question. Outrageous proposition. Probable outcome.

He's planning his 'come back' fight for 2011. I can't see him having the humility to be on someone elses undercard, so would you buy / watch it?

I personally think it'll be a sad day in British boxing if this happens. After haye Harrison I can rule nothing out anymore.

Why would Hatton pick an opponent who is only known to British fight fans for getting stopped inside 90 seconds?

If he ever comes back I reckon he'll fight Erik Morales. He said he'd only come back to fight a big name opponent. But he's not gonna fight any of the current 140 crop because they're all young and too good for him at this point. He'll fight a faded name, hence why I reckon Morales.

Reported on the scene that salita's team is negotiating a fight with him. Ricky probably thinks it's easy money and will make him look good. Afterall if mugs paid for Harrison, why wouldn't they do so for ricky's great comeback? :thumbsup

How could they build this up? Sky would have to trump even the Audley bollocks.

What can they say? ''Salita was drugged before he entered ring vs Khan. He has won 2 since blowing away highly rated contenders'' (guys i never heard of!).

''His boots were slippery on the canvas'' ''The toilet roll in his changing room was like tracing paper causing Salita to be uncomfortable in ring as Salita always has a pre fight crap in changing rooms''

It would be appalling to see if they did try make it PPV.

I think Katsidis would be the opponent for Ricky's comeback.

    Adam booth would be like:

"this fight will show whether hatton still has his killer instinct- will he do a quicker job than khan"

"we'll see how Ricky deals with a younger opponent in the guy who has only been beaten once and that was by another mancuniun"

Then Ellie sechback will be like:

"and now p4p champ, dimitry Salita is facing hatton who last fought manny pacquiao. This is salita's chance to show the world he's ready to beat the best"

"Salita 41-1, the champ from Brooklyn is going to England to fight the legendary superstar Ricky hatton"

    From wicky:

"after getting back the urge, this fight will leck me get back in the game and show my fans that I'm not over hill and put my toes in the water. Yes, I put on a lickle weight but in back at 140 and feel strong."

Btw guys I agree this is total bull**** and I'd never watch the fight let alone pay for it, but I'm just going off the news that Salita is trying to secure it.

There's no one else out there at 140 although morales would certainly be a big name opponent.

It's still rubbish though. All these washed up old legends: barrera, morales, jmm, hatton, Mosley - they should be out of the game by now. It's almost like they've come back for cash.

    Oscar had sense.
