Why can't he make 140 again? He looked fine against Malignaggi. He got smoked by Pac because he wasn't as good, not because of weight.

I don't see any reason to think he can't make weight again, he has blown up many times between fights and always made the weight.

Yeah, he'll never be the best fighter in the world, but if he still wants to fight he has more good wins in him. Are there even five guys in the world who would be favored against him below 140 pounds? Maybe Bradley and JMM, but who else would be the betting favorite against him? Why are people always trying to push competitive fighters out of the sport?

Paulie flattered him, was carrying an injury and had Hatton hurt once..Paulie of all people. Pac.. I honestly think Hatton of 5 yrs ago would have gone the distance

When were these older fights of Hatton that he looked so invulnerable and sharp. I admit I never watched much of him before the Tszyu fight, but he's always been very hittable and raw. He always gets busted up in fights, and Malignaggi may not be a puncher, but he's a decent fighter. Cotto got hit more by Malignaggi than Hatton did.

Hatton isn't a great fighter, and he'll never look great, but he's a bruiser who can do enough to beat other top guys; I don't see how that really changed.

Quick ? when did Paulie have Hatton hurt cause i must have missed that in the 3 times i watched the fight , I also agree with an early post that Hatton of 4-5 year's ago possible go's the distance with Pac but because of Manny's speed always losses

I need to see Hatton fight again to try and sum up if he has still got anything left if he has id take him over anyone at 140 still minus Pacman he is to small to be a top dog at 147 thow so let's hope he can still make 140 and if not retire !

People are saying Berto, and that would be totally bad for Hatton as he would get KTFO. I am not a Berto fan, and have rooted against him in most of his big fights (read 2: COllazo & Urango). That being said, Berto is way too fast for Hatton, who has problems with speed these days, I am not talking about someone who who will dance around the ring and throw pitter-patter shots like Malignaggi. I am talking about someone (Berto) who throws fast, hard shots and if you cannot hurt him, he will blitz right threw you. Plus Berto is in his absolute prime (or just entering it), he has the size, speed, reach, youth, power, and skills advantage over Hatton. Hatton should first fight 2nd tier Welterweights, i.e. Alfonso Gomez, Soto-Karass, Delvin Rodriguez. A perfect fight for him would be against that Turkish fighter Aydin, he is strong but very beatable, if Hatton cannot beat him he needs to hang it up.

He should fight the best, if not then it will be a waste of time and effort unless its for the money.

Berto, Judah, Torres, Margarito and Clottey.

I would give Ricky a great chance to beat any of those.

Going for Mosley immediately is foolish. First a decent fight with any of the guys I mentioned in the post above then Mosley would be reasonable.
