Ricky should really really stay away from 147. He becomes a different fighter at 147 and that's not a good thing. Not that it's a crime to struggle with Collazo or get KO'd by Floyd...but he fights differently, he looks bad and the speed and power difference between 147 and 140 is evident when he fights.

THAT SAID if we're playing the hypothetical game, I'd probably prefer Hatton vs Ricardo Torres or Hatton vs someone of that capacity. Basically an exciting B quality talent he can beat in an entertaining good bye fight.

Hatton made a career of beating up on 130lbs-135lbs and some decent opponents at 140lbs. All his advantages at 140lbs are gone against a decent 147lber. Hatton did extremely well, almost a one off, for what he is.
Marked down heavily for not taking on the best domestic opponents, instead concentrating on the superstars in PPV's.

He had almost the perfect career. He should retire now, or win a belt and go out as a champ in an easy goodbye fight in Manchester.

Like Hamed, we won't miss Hatton until he is gone.
