    Thats not the point.

My responce was to someone who claimed Bowe 92 - 95 was unbeatable by pointing out that he was beaten in that timeframe

Both Klitschkos win by either very, very wide UDs or late KO.

Hello no. His outside boxing ability wasn't good enough to get him inside. He was a big man who fought small... which is why his career ended the way that it did. We all saw what Golota was able to do to him... he stands no chance against the Klitschko brothers.

Bowe would be undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world.

Early 90's Bowe was a bad man, he was focused, hungry and actually training back then.

If Bowe's at the top of his game, he's beating everybody now. He'd probably be unmotivated after a couple wins though.

When I met Bowe at at his training camp in Liberty NY at Grossingers, he was in fantastic shape, thanks to Eddie Futch and his diet manager, Dick Gregory. At that time Dick Gregory was doing a wonderful job keeping Bowe away from eating the wrong foods.
I remember Bowe telling me how much he hated Gregory for not allowing him to gorge himself on his mother's greasy and non-healthy cooking. Bowe swore that following the Holyfield fight all he was looking forward too was getting rid of Dick Gregory.
He did, and ran straight to his mother's house where she cooked him two fried chickens, corn bread, greens, and all the other wrong foods.
Bowe was really a big country boy who had very little discipline and just couldn't stay away from the number 1 cause of high blood pressure, Diabetes, and other ailments in black men in America, Mamma's cooking.
Bowe is probably weighting in at around 280 right now.

The Bowe that fought Holyfield would have KO'ed either Klit. Even that version of Holyfield would have KO'ed Vlad, and won a decision against his sister.

Bowe gets absolutely no credit at all for being the first man to beat Evander Holyfield who is one of the great Heavyweights of all time.

You must be joking, he was a big man with skills.

Either Klitchko has never faced anything like the Bowe who fought Holly in the first fight. He had an outside game with a jab and an overhand right, and inside he would have destroyed Wlad. Vitali would have been competitive.

It is terrible how badly Bowe ****ed up. But i have few doubts that the Bowe who fought Holly in the 1st fight would have ****ed up most heavyweights in history.

As an aside, watch the 1st Holly fight over. You will notice the commentators on sky talking about his condition like he is a fat *******. Compare his condition to the majority of fighters outside of the K bros now. He looks in great shape.

He gets plenty of credit for that one great win but that's all it was, one great win. One great win unfortunately isn't the makings of a lasting legacy, otherwise Buster Douglas would be held in higher esteem having beaten prime Tyson and so would Kirkland Laing for beating Duran.

Lasting legacies are built on dominance over a period of time not on one moment of brilliance.

    It's probably been said, but;

He got his ass beat down by Golota twice. Either Klit would murder him unless he fought Wlad like 10 years ago.

I really think Bowe would fare better against Vitali, who isn't a terribly heavy one shot puncher and who is more liable to mix it up. I think Bowe beats Vitali in a slugfest just by being stronger and the more powerful puncher. I think this is a very close fight.

Wlad would keep the distance and maybe catch Bowe with some huge shots. If Bowe could get inside he could lure Wlad into exchanges where either man could realistically go down. I'd probably favor Wlad to keep his discipline, but Bowe just has better physical gifts. Better stamina (hilariously enough, Wlad couldn't throw half as many punches as Bowe did in the 1st Holy fight without gassing out), a much better chin, but not as much power.

I think it is a very even fight with both brothers.
