I think Bowe would be a bad matchup for Holmes and would beat him. He has the reach and the work rate to beat him. Holmes tended to trade and if he does it with Bowe he's in for a rough night ... Bowe can match his output and for that one night when he was in his prime for 36 minutes in 92 in the first Holyfield fight he had the stamina and endurance to last 12 with Holmes.
We'd be adding him to the already significant pile of fallen 80s heavyweights who had talent but wasted it. Bowe's flaws wouldn't be rectified by coming into his prime 10 years earlier.
This sounds about right to me. Larry wins a close, super tough UD. Weaver goes out in 9, Page and Thomas get beat handily on points, Dokes gets whacked out in 8. Michael Spinks doesn't make it 3. Bowe would have probably won the WBA belt after he lost to Holmes, and he'd hold it for a few years. Iron Mike would have caught him during his early decline and stopped him as a stepping stone.
Bowe might have taken up powerlifting & recruited friends to move the fridge...Besides that you can store a ton of dry foods without refrigeration. ;-)
lol. I read that Bowe and Bigfoot Martin used to actually team up on over half a dozen KFC buckets of chicken in one meal. Really. Do I need to say that's a LOT of food? I wonder if those automatically came with sides.
